Magic Chess - Patch Notes 1.4.70 [Original Server] 04/21/20

From the Designers:

Dear Magic Chess players, as we've mentioned in our last update, the very first official season of Magic Chess - "Frozenland Pioneers" will be coming after this update.

With the coming of a new season in the Magic Chess, new Heroes, Synergies, Equipment Items, Little Commanders and Chessboards are coming to the game! Apart from these shiny additions that are new, we've also made changes to our existing system structures such as economy and hero numbers. Please don't forget to check those out as well cause they could make the difference between winning and losing.


I. Little Commander

New Little Commander: Benny - Panther Warrior

Skill 1 - Freezing Trap [Passive]:

During preparation, a Freezing Trap will be set in the center of your side, which will freeze enemy unit moving on to it for a period of time depending on stage progress.

Skill 2 - King of Beasts [Passive]:

After each creep round, Benny will summon the most powerful creep among them to join the team. The creep will be deployed at the preparation phase.

Skill 3 - Hunter's Instinct [Passive]:

During preparation, a Copying Trap will be set in the center of your side, which will add to your stock/additional stock a copy of the enemy Hero moving on to it.


II. Events

1. New Little Commander Benny will be available on April 24 (Server Time). Diamond 499, BP 24000, Launch week 30% Diamonds OFF.

2. Little Commander Benny's Skin "Stealthy Hunter" will be available on April 24 (Server Time). Diamond 269. Launch week 30% Diamonds OFF.

3. Little Commander Benny and Skin "Stealthy Hunt," will be in a bundle and available on April 24 (Server Time). Launch week 30% Diamonds OFF.

4. Little Commander Remy's Skin "Peter Who" will be available for Magic Chess Pass owners on April 24 (Server Time).

5. New Chessboard "Desolate Ruin" will be available for Magic Chess Pass owners on April 24 (Server Time).

6. New Epic Chessboard - "Machine Shop" will be available from Lucky Bundle in shop on April 26 (Server Time).


III. Synergy Adjustments

1. New Synergy [Blood Demon]: Reduces the number of heroes required by 1 when a faction/role skill that requires >=4 heroes is triggered.

2. Elf: Damage bonus of 3 Elves increased from 40% to 45%. Damage bonus of 6 Elves increased from 60% to 75%, triggering chance increased from 40% to 50%.

3. Summoner: Added new effect for 2 Summoners/4 Summoners: Damage of all friendly summons increased by 8%/20%, respectively.

Summoner: Creep HP of 2 summoners increased from 6000 to 7000. Amount of Creep from 4 summoners reduced from 2 to 1, one with powerful skill: Spinning Strike - after 5 successful attacks, an AoE will be unleashed on surrounding enemies.

4. Western Desert: increased the limits and made it available for more situations.

5. Wrestler: High-level Wrestler synergy provides stable CC, which may affect the variety of lineups, hence we decide to weaken this negative feedback caused by this kind of CC. The triggering condition of Wrestler synergies is now adjusted from 2/4/6 to 3/6. Stunning chance adjusted from 15%/30%/55% to 20%/30%. Addition 330/660 Physical Damage now added upon stun.

6. Abyss: Abyss is the only synergy that can provide Physical DEF Reduction effect. It was often used in Physical Burst lineups. However, we hope it has wider use. Physical DEF Reduction by Abyss now adjusted from 12/25 to 35%/100%.

7. Undead, Support, Scarlet Shadow: Due to the joining of new heroes, these synergies will be removed temporarily.

8. Western Desert: Mana Gain upon successful dodge increased from 3 to 4.

9. Cyborg: The HP bonus for all heroes from 4 Cyborgs increased from 1000 to 1500.

10. Empire: Mana Reduction of 6 Empires decreased from 24 to 22.

11. Assassin: When special attack is triggered by 3/6 Assassins, an additional 50/165 True Damage is dealt in the meantime, respectively.

12. Targeman: Shield increased from 14% to 15%.


IV. Heroes

New Heroes Added:

1. Thamuz: Abyss, Fighter, 5-Gold
2. Cecilion: Blood Demon, Mage, 4-Gold
3. Bruno: Cyborg, Marksman, 4-Gold
4. Popol and Kupa: Northern Vale, Summoner, Marksman, 4-Gold
5. Natalia: Monastery of Light, Assassin, 4-Gold
6. Franco: Northern Vale, Weapon Master, 2-Gold
7. Carmilla: Blood Demon, Wrestler, 2-Gold


V. Hero Adjustments

Moskov
Basic Attack increased from 215 to 245. Mana Regen CD after skill cast decreased from 2s to 1s.

lrithel
  • Physical DEF Reduction increased from 20/40/80 to 30/50/100.
  • Base Attack Speed increased by 5%. Each bullet Irithel shoots is counted as a Basic Attack. Fixed the issue that [Elf] Synergy is not triggered after skill cast.

Dyrroth
Damage of special attack adjusted from 200%/250%/300% to 240%/260%/280%.

Zhask
Dominator's Descent: Fixed the issue that Nightmaric Spawn sometimes gains attributes incorrectly under certain conditions. HP of enhanced Nightmaric Spawn slightly decreased.

Gatotkaca
Damage decreased from 900/1600/3200 to 750/1200/2400.

Karina
Number of Basic Attack blocked increased from 5/8/12 to 6/12/18.

Claude
Bonus Attack SPD reduced from 40% to 10%.

Guinevere
Base HP increased by 200.

Freya
  • Splash Damage increased from 50% to 75%.
  • Slightly increased the Splash Range in Valkyrie State. Now her Splash Damage benefits 50% from Lifesteal.
  • Shield increased by 33%, from 1200/2400/4800 to 1600/3200/6400.
Saber
  • Airborne Duration increased from 1.2s to 1.5s
  • Skill Damage decreased from 600/900/1200 to 300/400/500. Physical Damage Bonus now adjusted to be scaling with total Physical Attack Power. Skill can crit now.
Miya
Attack Speed Increase adjusted from 12%/14%/18% to 12%/13%/14%.

Alucard
Mana Regen CD after skill cast increased from 25 to 4s.

Minotaur
Skill Damage decreased by 33%, from 600/1200/2400 to 400/800/1600

Khufra
Skill Damage adjusted from 200/300/400 to 200/350/500.
Now he is a Western Desert hero. Skill Damage decreased by 33%, from 300/450/600 to 200/350/500.

Others
  • Slightly increased Base Attributes of high-cost Heroes.
  • Melee Heroes (assassins excluded) get to move 0.1s before Ranged Heroes can do so.

VI. Equipment Adjustments

1. New equipment [Claude's Theft Device]: Copies 2 items of the opponents when battle starts.
2. New equipment [Starfall Blade]: Basic attack has chance to lower the target's star level.
3. Monastery of Light Vestments: Increased Magic DEF for nearby allied Heroes.
4. Feline Blade: Base HP reduced from 1500 to 1000.
5. Marksman Crystal: Basic Attack decreased from 100 to 50.
6. Golden Staff: Attack SPD bonus reduced from 15% to 10%.
7. Demon Hunter Sword: Attack SPD bonus reduced from 15% to 10%.
8. Blade of Despair: Basic Attack decreased from 250 to 200.
9. The drop probability of an item will decrease with the its usage in battlefield.
10. Optimized the effects of Starfall Blade in UI.
11. Optimized the effects of Claude's Theft Device in UI.


VII. Rules Adjustments

1. Lineup Power: Optimized the logic for estimating the strength of a lineup, changed from Lineup Value to Lineup Power.
2. Refresh Heroes: Improve the probability, now you will have a better chance to have a hero you need by refreshing.
3. Number of 1-Gold Heroes reduced from 27 to 25.
4. Number of 4-Gold Heroes reduced from 15 to 13.
5. Number of 5-Gold Heroes reduced from 10 to 9.
6. You now start with 1 less gold.
7. Gold Bonus for the early rounds adjusted from 5 to 3/4/5.
8. Cup earn adjusted for Grand Master or higher rank. 1st place earn adjusted from 30 cups to 40 cups, where 2nd place earn adjusted from 18 cups to 20 cups.
9. Hero Cost Composition adjustment for Little Commander at certain level:
  • At level 3: Probability of 1-gold Heroes showing adjusted from 60% to 70%. Probability of 3-gold Heroes showing adjusted from 10% to 0%.
  • At level 4: Probability of 2-gold Heroes showing adjusted from 30% to 35%. Probability of 3-gold Heroes showing adjusted from 20% to 15%.
  • At level 6: Probability of 2-gold Heroes showing adjusted from 33% to 35%. Probability of 5-gold Heroes showing adjusted from 2% to 0%.
  • At level 7: Probability of 3-gold Heroes showing adjusted from 31% to 30%. Probability of 5-gold Heroes showing adjusted from 4% to 5%.
  • At level 8: Probability of 1-gold Heroes showing adjusted from 12% to 15%. Probability of 3-gold Heroes showing adjusted from 35% to 32%.
  • At level 9: Probability of 4-gold Heroes showing adjusted from 28% to 25%. Probability of 5-gold Heroes showing adjusted from 10% to 13%.

VIII. System Adjustments

1. Added new feature: One tap to block chats from the player that you choose.
2. Gold required of leveling up capacity decreases by 1 when you're using a non-default chessboard.
3. Little Commander bonus now shown on the history page and post-battle screen.
4. Optimized the Magic Chess loading screen. Now Little Commanders have a more detailed display.
5. History page: You can now check rank change of each match; You can check history of custom matches.
6. Added 10 more achievements including "Magic Chess King"
7. History page: You can now check rank change of each match in custom matches.
8. After purchasing a Chessboard, Little Commander will gain 1 extra initial EXP.
9. Magic Chess Pass Update:

a. Exclusive Skin: Little Commander Remy's Skin "Peter Who"
b. Exclusive Chessboard: Desolate Ruin
c. All new prizepool with massive rare items.
d. New privilege: Checking rest amount of heroes in the pool.
e. New privilege: Additional Stock for temporary storage of more heroes.

New updates will be available on April 24 (Server Time).
