Meta has announced that its Meta Quest 3 virtual reality headset will be launching this fall. The price for the device will start at $499, or ₱27,946.74, for the 128 gigabyte headset.
In Quest 3, the developers have made sure that the content will look better than before. To do that, they’ve combined their highest resolution display and pancake optics, which is powered by the next-generation Snapdragon chipset developed in collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies.
With this next-gen Snapdragon chipset, the graphical performance will be more than twice than the previous generation Snapdragon GPU in Quest 2, which means that users will experience a smoother performance and they will be able to enjoy incredibly crisp details in immersive games.
The best-in-class Meta Reality technology of the company seamlessly blends the physical world of the user with the virtual world. Through the high-fidelity color Passthrough, innovative machine learning, and spatial understanding, users will be able to interact with virtual content and the physical world at the same time.
Quest 3 was also redesigned for comfort and control. It has now a 40 percent slimmer optic profile and its Touch Plus controllers feature a more streamlined and ergonomic form factor. TruTouch haptics was also incorporated so that users can feel more of the action. They can also upgrade with the company’s self-tracked Meta Quest Touch Pro Controllers for a premium experience. The device also supports hand tracking, thanks to Direct Touch, so that users can interact with the virtual objects even without the controllers.
There’s still a lot that needs to be known about the upcoming device. To know more about Meta Quest 3, you can view the official overview of the device that was released by Meta by clicking here to visit the page.
