Metal Slug: Awakening enters its second Alpha Test which will be available to players from the Philippines and Indonesia

Metal Slug: Awakening is the latest release in the Metal Slug series. After its successful first Alpha Test back in July 2022, the game now enters its second Alpha Test phase that will be done here in the Philippines and Indonesia.

The second Alpha Test aims to disclose more information to the fans as well as have the game’s features get known by them. As it appears that the alpha tests are smooth sailing, it’s safe to assume that the development process is also the same. We might be seeing the game officially sometime sooner.

Metal Slug: Awakening was first announced back in 2021 for mobile. Players who got interested in the game appreciated its concept and showed their appreciation through responding back in numbers in the previous alpha test, which made it successful. Currently, the game is reported to have 4,000 slots available for each country that will follow the process of first-account-created, first-served basis.

“Filipino gamers from Alpha Test 1 (Ran in July 2022) helped us to map out this new version of the game and we cannot wait to get feedback from the Philippine gaming community. Testers can look forward to testing new features like the ‘Clone Master’ (a.k.a. Guild Boss Raid),” said Maricar Cacnio, Operations Lead of VNG Philippines.

If interested in participating in the Alpha Test, you can access it through Google Play since it's only available for Android devices. Players from the Philippines and Indonesia are currently the only ones that can participate in the test.
