Mineski Global launches Mineski Masters, bringing the best of live esports events online

Mineski Global, the premiere esports and gaming organization in Southeast Asia, is excited to announce the launch of Mineski Masters - a 2-month long series of online tournaments that brings the ultimate esports experience of offline events to online. Hosted by Mineski Philippines, the leading esports company is orchestrating a regional invitational for Dota 2 and a local tournament for PUBG Mobile in partnership with telecommunication service provider Converge. The tournaments are open to gamers of all levels, ages 18 and above. Registration for the PUBG Mobile tournament opened on September 17 at mineskimasters.com.

“Mineski Global is an organization that traces its roots as far back as DOTA2 has. This heritage peaked in 2017 when we created the immensely popular Manila Masters in 2017, and we are thrilled to once again open up a stage for DOTA2 and our fans. With the addition of PUBG Mobile, we are looking at bridging this rising esport title and its dedicated community with the loyal community of DOTA2. Thanks to our sponsors, our Filipino community can view a world-class competition from the safety of their homes,” said Mark Navarro, Country Manager of Mineski Philippines.

“As the esports and online gaming in the Philippines continue to sustain its progress amidst the pandemic, we still see a huge opportunity to grow in this segment and provide underserved customers with better internet services. We remain committed to empower Filipinos with pure fiber solutions to improve their gaming and live streaming activities at home. This year, we are very excited to be a part of Mineski Masters and we have a lot in store for the esports and online gaming community in the coming months,” said Jesus Romero, Converge Chief Operations Officer.

Dubbed as the “Battle of the Ages: Forging New Realms”, the Mineski Masters event kicks off with PUBGM. It will be a national level tournament consisting of a massive 4-day competition open to 256 teams across the Philippines (or a total of 1,024 players) who will vie for a Php 500,000 prize pool and the coveted title: “True Master” of the battleground. Nationwide qualifiers in group stages will run every weekend of October, starting on the 9th and 10th; followed by the Playoffs, broadcasted live, on November 6-7 and 13-14. Since its global launch in 2018, PUBGM has far exceeded expectations—recording over a billion downloads in just three years.

Mineski Masters also includes the Dota 2 Regional Invitational - a 4-day esports tournament featuring the top teams from the region who will battle for the Php 1M prize pool. Four Pro teams from SEA have been invited to participate and as host, the Philippines is given four slots to complete the 8-team bracket. To determine who, a wildcard tourney will be held for 128 local teams. The two-day qualifiers will be held on November 21 and 28, followed by the Playoffs that will run from December 2-5

The Mineski Masters in the Philippines will have a total prize pool of Php 1.5 million, will be broadcasted live for 60 hours, and is expected to have over 1,600 participants.
