He is still the generally accepted best tank. He absorbs damage very efficient because of his passive that gives him high hybrid defense. His defense stat reduces the damage output of the enemies. He also has a crowd control skill which is his ultimate skill. He also deals high damage even without attack items. His first skill has the ability to immune crowd control skills and deals high damage. He can clear minions fast which gives the whole team an opportunity to rotate and farm up faster. His wall is also a great addition to his skill set.
No doubt that he is a META Tank.
2. Khufra
This tank might not be as tanky as Grock but he is very good because he can inflict crowd control effect using any skill. Since crowd control skill has proven its worth in the META, Khufra is popular even if he is not very tanky. The reason why he survives teamfight aside from his crowd control abilities is his passive that regenerates his health after some time.
Among all tanks, he is the best in terms of crowd control especially in quantity.
3. Baxia
Always being beaten by Esmeralda or an Estes team composition? You might still unaware of what Baxia can do. Aside from damage reduction, his passive reduces the enemy health regeneration abilities. His first skill makes him very mobile and can even stun a target. His second skill is both a damage and a crowd control skill. His ultimate skill also adds up to his combo which prevents enemies to disengage easily in a teamfight.
Baxia is really a must have tank especially for solo players that always randomly matched with teammates that do not know how to build Sea Halberd and Necklace of Durance against health regen dependent heroes.
4. Lolita
Another tanks that shines the most against specific heroes. Her second skill makes her special and unique. It blocks any projectile attacks that is why she is a well known counter for Kimmy and Chang'e. Her passive is also a good support ability that gives his allies some shield. Her first and ultimate skill are crowd control skills.
If you are used to playing support and wants to master how to tank, Lolita is very suitable for you.
5. Belerick
After revamp, Belerick has acquired better crowd control skill which makes him popular. Before, he is already known to be a very efficient hero because of his natural high health points. Not only high health points but he also has sustain damage and health regeneration abilities. Adding the immobilize from ultimate skill and taunt effect from his first skill just brings him to the top tanks.
Maybe the reason why he is reworked actually lies on the fact that he is overpowered. Imagine a tank that can deal damage per second like a marksman. That is Belerick. He is originally a tank/marksman role before he was released in the original server.

Before Belerick, Hylos is known for his very high HP. His first skill is a single target stun skill. His second skill gives damage and slow effect. His ultimate skill gives mobility. Some might find his skill set similar with the other tanks especially the lower tier ones but Hylos is definitely better than them.
The high health points and early game dominance is already enough to make Hylos META. His other skills are just great addition to what he can bring in the team.
