In the world of gaming, meta means "most effective tactics available" but in terms of Mobile Legends, it refers to the strongest heroes in the current patch.
How is the current meta considered?
The meta heroes in the game vary for each role. A hero is considered to be meta if, without considering the team composition and emblems, it can dominate the game without difficulty. In simple terms, their effectiveness on the battlefield is considered.
Note: This guide focuses on all ranks from Warrior to Mythic. Although, their effectiveness is considered more in higher ranks (Epic, Legend, Mythic). I'll be focusing on two of the best and meta heroes for each role.
For a marksman to be considered meta, one must be able to dominate in the early game, mid game, or late game without difficulty. Along with that, their skill sets are also highly considered whether the hero has blink/escape skills or reap skills that can be essential in team fights.

For an assassin to be considered meta, one must be able to easily eliminate enemy heroes quickly and farm at high speed. A good assassin is mobile and can burst down any enemy in sight.
GUSION
SELENA
For a fighter to be considered meta, one must be able to use one's skills to dominate any lvl situation and easily pick off heroes during team fights. A good fighter must be able to have high offensive and defensive attributes.
CHOU
GUINEVIERE
For a tank to be considered meta, one must be able to easily poke and punish enemy targets without taking too much damage. A good tank should be as hard as a rock, has crowd control, and should be difficult to take down.
Khufra
For a mage to be considered meta, one must be able to easily clear lanes and rotate quickly within the first 5 minutes. Moreover, they are able to burst enemy heroes immediately.
Harith
Esmeralda
For a support to be considered meta, one must be able to either crowd control enemies or counter the enemy team's crowd con-trol skills. A good support can both save you from being killed and provide assistance so you can get kills.

- Considered as one of the best marksmen in the game. Has skill 2 as an escape skill and skill 3 as an AoE skill.
- With his great mobility and reap capabilities, he is definitely feared by everyone, even tanks!
KIMMY
- The only marksman whose attack joystick is con-trolled manually. With this, she can easily use this as her advantage in checking bushes and target-ing specific enemy heroes.
- Her flexibility allows her to use different item builds from Physical, Hybrid, or Magic.
- Lastly, with her unique mechanics, she can push towers quickly and poke any enemy hero.

- Both a mage and an assassin, Gusion's high burst potential can take out any hero when used right. He is highly prioritized among any other assassin.

- Deemed also as an assassin and a mage, Sele-na's ability to stun enemy heroes is everyone's worst nightmare.
- Selena's skill 1 is essential for map vision.
- Lastly, she can switch from melee to ranged with her skill 3. Truly a perfect assassin!

- Considered as one of the best fighters in the game, Chou's kicking and punching prevail over any fighter. His unique skill of knocking up enemy heroes and kicking targets towards a specified direction places him on the top of the meta.
- He is a top tier fighter capable of picking off enemy heroes or pushing quickly at the side without even needing help.
GUINEVIERE
- Considered as one of the two fighter-mages, Guine-vere's annoying crowd control skills are feared by many. She is just one of the few heroes who can knock up multiple enemies and slay them with just one combo.
- Her skill 3's immunity to crowd control skills makes her unstoppable thus she can survive in team fights much longer.
- Lastly, when faced against Guinevere, any player will be terrified of going near bushes.

- Khufra's ability to crowd control enemy targets can easily give early kills to his teammates. Keep in mind that his damage is insane!

- Lastly, he is one of the best when it comes to pun-ishing enemy targets from escaping. With his crowd control ability, no one can get away from him.
- Grock's unique passive makes him completely immune from crowd control. This gives him a huge advantage in checking bushes without dying.
- His skill 1 can deal with a massive amount of damage. This opens opportunities for early ganks.
- Lastly, Crock's ability to block off enemies with skill 2 is a game-changer. If you are looking for a good tank, definitely choose Grock!

- The additional shield he gets whenever enemy heroes are near is his advantage.
- Lastly, with skill 3, this enables him to use skill 2 infinitely for a period of time. Worth it!
Esmeralda
- Esmeralda's shield is her best asset. This unique ability of Esmeralda makes her distinct from other mages.
- Deemed also as a tank, her attributes boosts her defense wherein she may survive longer while dealing a good amount of damage to burst down enemy heroes.

Diggie
- Diggie's skills can provide his immunityy to crowd control skills and prevent an enemy target from es-caping. Moreover, he is the only hero who can roam around the map even if he is dead thus granting ad-ditional map vision.
- His skill 1 can provide vision in bushes and even burst damage in the early phase of the game.
- Lastly, as a support, he can counter many heroes due to the crowd control immunity his skill 3 pro-vides for him and his teammates.

- The meta changes according to the current patch update.
- The meta dictates who among the heroes are more effective than the others. Though, it still depends on the user playing that makes the hero strong.
- The meta is highly distinguishable in Mythic and Grandmaster. Some heroes are strong and effective in Grandmaster while they aren't in Mythic. It all depends on the mastery of the hero.
