Mobile Legends Item Guide - Thunderbelt: The damage is real!

If Physical Damage Dealers have Endless Battle and Magic Damage Dealers have Calamity Reaper, Tanks have Thunderbelt!

Thunderbolt $2290
  • +800 HP
  • +30 Mana Regen
  • +10% CDR
  • +40 Physical Defense

Unique Passive - Thunderbolt

After using skills, the next basic attack deals extra true damage equal to 2% of the users max HP. The enemy target and their surrounding units all take this damage and are slowed for 1.5s. This effect cools down every 1.5s

Analysis

This gives high HP which also synergizes with its passive which deals greater damage as the user's HP rises. The passive is also dealing with an area of effect damage and inflicts slow to all nearby enemies.

The mana regen is helpful for those heroes that find themselves losing mana, especially in the early game.

The cooldown reduction of this item is very helpful since this is one of the few defense items that give this important stat.

This item also gives some physical defense stat which is enough to reduce physical damage taken. A hero with 40 physical defense stat already takes 20% less damage. When it reaches 100, it can reduce damage by around 47%.

Example

When using Belerick...

If you don't build Demon Shoes to Belerick, you will find yourself having low mana early game. Demon Shoes is not necessary since even just the Azure Blade which is a recipe in building Thunderbelt is enough. It also has Ares Belt which is one of the most cost-efficient items for Belerick. The passive also creates a perfect synergy with Belerick's Skill 2 which will do a basic attack to regenerate health, deal damage and even inflict additional slowly.

In building Thunderbelt, buy two magic necklaces first then upgrade it to Azure Blade. Then decide if you need to buy Leather Jenkin first for some physical defense or vitality crystal for HP.

This item is more user-dependent than enemy-dependent. That means build this item if your hero needs the mana regen, CDR, and you want to inflict greater damage and even slow effect to enemies. This is not designed to be a counter-item but is useful against physical damage dealers because of the physical defense stat.

Other heroes that can abuse this item

Baxia

Along with Baxia's 2nd skill, the slow effect added by the passive of Thunderbelt will be very significant. The damage is also decent enough to poke and kill low HP heroes.

Lolita

The first skill of Lolita deals with damage based on the target's Max HP and this skill has two-phase. The first phase is a blink then the second is the basic attack plus stun. That basic attack will trigger the passive of Thunderbelt that is why it will deal with additional damage and inflict slow effect.
