Mobile Legends Patch 1.6.72 Original Server Highlights - Buffed Heroes and Revamped Akai

There is no new hero expected to come for the month of April 2022. This month's update only features hero adjustments and the release of revamped Akai in the original server. Here are the hero adjustment highlights of Patch Note 1.6.72 Original Server.

1. Revamped Akai

Akai, the almighty Panda Warrior, is ready to cause more chaos with his updated kit! The developers made Akai's Ultimate more riveting while allowing more room for counterplay. His early game power was also boosted and the possibility for him to take the EXP Lane or Jungle is opened up.

[Passive - Tai Chi]
New Effect: Akai's skills apply marks on hit, and his Basic Attacks deal extra damage to marked enemies.

Shield: 6% Max HP >> 50 + 5% Max HP
Damage: 5% Max HP >> 50 + 5% Max HP

[Skill 1 - Headbutt]
Akai charges in the target direction (instead of toward the target location) and knocks the first enemy hit airborne.
New Effect: After successfully hitting an enemy hero, Akai can roll in the same direction once.

Damage: 300-550 + 50% Total Physical Attack >> 300-400 + 50% Total Physical Attack

[Skill 2 - Body Slam]
Akai smashes the ground with his body instead of firing a frog-shaped wave in the target direction), dealing damage to enemies in the area and slowing them. The skill no longer applies marks on hit.

Damage: 350-500 + 120% Extra Physical Attack >> 270-420 + 7% Max HP

[Ultimate - Heavy Spin]
Akai spins, continuously dealing damage to nearby enemies and knocking them back. Enemy heroes knocked back will also knock back other heroes they collide with during the process.

New Effect: Akai gradually increases his Movement Speed over the duration. He can also cast Skill 1 to quickly adjust his position.

Duration: 3.5s >> 4s

Akai's mechanics really changed because of the new effects of his skills. His skill 2 also has significant changes along with his passive. This made him a flexible pick because Akai can now be played in more possible ways.

2. Natan buff

The developers gave Natan a simple buff to his raw power to boost his presence in the current metagame.

Base Physical Attack: 110 >> 115
Physical Attack Growth: 11 >> 11.8

The aim of this buff is to probably help boost his stats and motivate players to use him again. Statistically, he has lower than average win rate and pick rate before this buff. This was also already tested in advance server so this seems make him stronger but still balance.

3. Aamon buff

The developers infused more power into Aamon's mana shards to help the duke stand out a bit more in the early game.

[Skill 1](↑)
Base Damage: 150-300 >> 175-300
Shard's Base Damage: 40-100 >> 50-100

Aamon also shown a drop in terms of stats and his place as a jungler has been replaced by the tankier options and even one of the newer heroes, Yin. This should help him to be more popular and boosts his potential as a jungler or a laner.

4. Benedetta buff

Benedetta's blade may have seemed blunt against the new bulky metagame so the developers sharpened it up a bit.

Damage: 200% Physical Attack >> 210% Physical Attack

Benedetta's stats is also lower than normal and thus, the developers decided to buff her a bit. Her utility is still has a good place in the current metagame but it seems her damage is really relatively a bit lacking so this buff helps.

5. Badang buff

The developers fixed an issue with Badang's Passive while slightly boosting his damage in the laning phase.

Fixed an issue where the extra damage could also trigger attack effects.

[Skill 1](↑)
Base Damage: 220-395 >> 250-400

Badang is still not as popular as expected! This should help him and the developers seem to also looking forward that Badang will get more appearance in competitive, high ranks, and pro plays.

This patch features Revamped Akai, four buffed heroes, and two nerfed heroes. The nerfed heroes are Masha and Fanny but it is still expected that they will still be top bans or at least a top in appearance. That's it for the hero adjustments.
