Mobile Legends Patch 1.6.88 Advance Server Hero Adjustments Highlights - Mage Heroes and Julian adjustments

The trailer for the June 2022 Mobile Legends: Bang Bang update has already come out and in advance server, the adjustments are already being tested. In Patch Note 1.6.88, the mage heroes Lunox, Xavier, and Gord received adjustments. The recently released hero, Julian, is also currently being balanced and here are the adjustments.

1. Julian Nerf

Left unfettered, Julian's arsenal of weapons has proved to be dreadfully lethal. Thus, the developers nerfed his overall sustainability and base damage to allow opponents better room for counterplay.

[Passive] (↓)
Spell Vamp: 25% >> 20%

[Skill 2 & Skill 2 (Enhanced)] (↓)
Reduced the Lifesteal efficiency to match that of other AoE skills.

[Skill 3 (Enhanced)] (↓)
Initial Attack's Base Damage: 340-500 >> 300-420

Julian is currently a top ban in original server across all ranks. It means that even high-skilled players are having a hard time playing against him. These adjustments should make him balance enough in preparation for the next season.

2. Lunox adjustments

The developers placed Lunox's previous adjustments back to sleep but introducing a new one based on the Official Server version.

[Skill 2] (~)

Damage Bonus: 130% Magic Power + 1.5%-3.5% of Target's Max HP >> 120% Magic Power + 2.5%-5% Target's Max HP

Lunox dropped in popularity ever since she got outshined by other heroes in the midlane and sidelane. She is still a very good hero in terms of viability and natural abilities but she need a certain adjustment to promote her popularity while keeping her power balanced. Thus, the developers seem to be being extra careful in adjusting her.

3. Gord adjustments

Gord's previous mobility boost has led to a dashing overperformance in the battlefield, so the developers were squaring that off with a slightly lowered damage in this patch.

[Skill 2] (↓)
Base Damage: 60-85 >> 50-75

[Ultimate] (↓)
Base Damage: 150-250 >> 135-225

It seems that mobility indeed is really just what holds back Gord and now his overpowered damage shined after the previous buff. This adjustment is just to balance him out since he is one of the threats especially to the current tanky metagame.

4. Xavier nerf

Xavier's been an absolute showstopper in the battlefield, so the developers slightly lowered his damage to balance out previous adjustments.

[Skill 1] (↓)
Base Damage: 325-600 >> 320-560

Xavier's mechanics already helped him to shine in the current metagame even as a still relatively new hero. Even with this damage nerf, he is still expected to be one of the best heroes to use. This is just to balance him out to a certain threshold acceptable and not too much for the current metagame.

These adjustments are expected to come to the Original Server along with the revamped adjustments to the Necrokeep heroes. Even Vexana, Leomord, and Faramis might still receive changes before the tentative release of a huge patch in the global server on June 28, 2022. Aside from the changes to these heroes already mentioned, expect additional adjustments to the game too.
