Mobile Legends Philippine Team Sea Games 2022 - Blacklist International will represent Sibol

For the upcoming Sea Games 2022, Sibol made a national selection that will represent the Philippines and for Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Blacklist International will be the ML:BB Sibol Representative. Blacklist International won the national selection after being a direct invite. Here's what happened in the Sibol ML:BB national selection 2022.

The national selection has 2 phases. Phase 1 is open to all teams and the ones that battled it out are those that met all of the requirements. Meanwhile, the top 4 teams in the MPL-PH Season 8 were directly invited for Phase 2 and did not need to go through phase 1. MPL Teams like RSG Philippines and Bren Esports passed through phase 1 and made it to phase 2.

Only 4 teams in Phase 1 has advanced to Phase 2. ECHO Philippines didn't advanced and aside from RSG PH and Bren, two non-MPL teams passed Phase 1 which are El Ganador Esports and Origen Esports. The four teams that advanced and the four directly invited teams were then placed in a double-elimination bracket. The direct-invite teams were Blacklist International, ONIC PH, Nexplay EVOS, and Omega.

That is how RSG PH and Nexplay EVOS met in the lower bracket finals. It was a best-of-5 series that Nexplay EVOS won 3-1 and made them advanced to the Grand Finals. Blacklist International is the winner of the upper bracket finals and met Nexplay EVOS for a best-of-7 Grand Finals. Blacklist International won the first 2 games then Nexplay EVOS won Game 3 but then Blacklist International won the last 2 games.

The Blacklist International main five for the Sea Games 2022 will be Wise, OhMyV33nus, Hadji, and their rookies, Owl and Dominic. This is different from the roster that they will use for the MPL-PH Season 9. That is the conclusion for the 2022 Sibol National Selection for the Philippine representative in Sea Games 2022 for ML:BB.
