The Mobile Legends Professional League - Philippines (MPL-PH) continued for Week 7 of the Regular Season. This week only had 2 days of action due to the typhoon in the Philippines that led to the postponement of Day 3. In spite of that, the 2-day action was enough to determine the six teams that will enter the playoffs. The remaining games will be the battle for better seeding in the playoffs. Here are the results for the third week of the regular season.
The week started with Blacklist International (BLCK) versus ONIC Philippines. BLCK won this series, 2-0, to further increase their score and ended as the current 2nd seed. BLCK still has 3 remaining series after this game.
The day 1 ended with the match between Omega and Nexplay EVOS (NXPE). Omega won 2-1 as they dominated NXPE throughout the regular season as they also won against them via sweep in Week 3. This also helped Omega get more points to be at the current 3rd seed in the Week 7 standings.
The second day started with RSG PH VS. Bren Esports series. This game took 3 games to decide the winner. This series went in favor of Bren Esports this time, 2-1, as the defending champs fell to 6th seed in the standings.
Meanwhile, Omega won against ONIC PH via a 2-0 sweep. ONIC PH failed to get a point this week and thus fell to 4th seed. Omega only had 1 remaining series after this game and thus they are 3rd seed despite being currently tied with BLCK in terms of points.
ECHO faced TNC to end Day 2. TNC failed to get a point as they got swept by ECHO, 2-0. TNC is now eliminated from playoff contention but still play their remaining regular season games. ECHO with this sweep helped them to rise up in the standings to be the current first seed.
Day 3 was postponed but it was supposed to be RSG PH versus NXPE and ECHO versus BLCK. Based on the post in the official MPL Philippines Facebook page, the games will be rescheduled to a latter date. Wait for their official announcement about when it will be held and other details.
