More and more heroes are becoming viable and this was shown and proven in the Mobile Legends Professional League. In MPL-PH Season 6, there are 70 unique heroes picked and 50 unique heroes banned. Also with the implementation of Project Next, 7 heroes have made their debut in MPL-PH including the revamped Miya and Eudora.
Among all of those heroes, Uranus reigns as he got a 99% pick rate and ban rate combined. He appeared 50 times and got banned 133 times! On his 50 appearances, he won 35 of them giving him a very win rate of 70%. Uranus is undoubtedly one of the heroes right now because of his superior durability and regeneration. He also has good mobility and decent damage enough to clear minion waves fast making him a very perfect offlaner.
Aside from Uranus, here are the winning picks of Season 6 with at least 10 appearances, 5 total bans, and at least 60% win rate.
There are also so-called overrated picks. These are heroes with at least 15 appearances, banned at least 10 times, but only has at most 40% win rate.
It is good to see that more diverse strategies are now being discovered and played at the competitive scene. The MPL-PH just showed that some heroes are actually playable and is very strong when used in a certain strategy.
