Multiple Warcraft Mobile Games are Under "Advanced Development"

CEO Bobby Kotick of Activision Blizzard announced during a financial earnings call that Blizzard is currently developing multiple free-to-play Warcraft mobile.

The information was revealed at the Q4 2020 and this is what CEO Bobby Kotick said, "In our Warcraft franchise, we intend to deliver more frequent premium content to sustain and expand the World of Warcraft community and we’ve made multiple, mobile, free-to-play Warcraft experiences and they’re now in advanced development based on our franchise’s beloved IP. This will create opportunities for both existing players and new fans to experience the Warcraft universe in entirely new ways."

Activision said that World of Warcraft saw how strong the engagement is between the Classic and modern games in 2020, with full year franchise net bookings up to 40% year-over-year, reaching the highest level in nearly a decade.

It's really a no-brainer that Activision Blizzard will capitalize on mobile gaming since it's currently at its peak right now. Also, this new mobile title that they're pushing might be supported by how successful the released games are on the platform. These are Call of Duty Mobile, Hearthstone and Diablo Immortal(that isn't even officially out yet but will launch this year).
