  • The developer behind Rules of Survival and Knives out hired the mastermind of the battle royal movies as the head consultant
  • The Japanese branch of NetEase recently hired Kenta Fukasaku
  • To those who don't know Kenta Fukasaku is the writer of the Japanese film Battle Royal which was released in 2000 which his father directed.
  • He then proceeded to write and screenplay the sequel in 2003 Battle Royale 2 Requiem which he took over directorial after his father passed away during filming
  • Kenta Fukasaku’s role is to help build the worldview of Knives Out basically adding a background story and lore.
  • He is also working with the development team in China to bring out the next Knives Out expansion called Final Battle of Tokyo.
  • It looks like RoS developer NetEase isn't event rattled by PUBG Corpos lawsuit

AoV Taiwan Server

  • are Filipino AoV players are changing servers?
  • is it because due to lag, high ping and disconnection problems
  • or because they can't wait for the new heroes and skins not released in the Philippines Garena version
  • We reported last week about users reporting unstable connections and even players being drop out of the game
  • This week noticed this on our AoV group where players are requesting apk files that can connect outside of the region specified servers
  • Majority of the Filipino AoV players are currently requesting apks of Taiwan and Eu server
  • This activity increased after the game started to have lag and unstable connections
  • People also pointed out that this might not be a problem from AoV’s side but from a local ISP Globe Telecom
  • but based on the reports even PLDT and Smart users are getting an unstable connection
  • this might be due to the undersea cables being damaged that links to Hong Kong
  • Regardless of who is to blame players are alienated and pissed
  • hopefully, this gets sorted out soon because AoV players might not just change server next time but ultimately change the game

  • Crema Games, the studio behind Immortal Redneck, has announced Temtem
  • a massively multiplayer creature-collection adventure game inspired by Pokemon
  • the team makes it very clear that the game takes its inspiration from the Pokemon series
  • featuring a number of unique creatures
  • here is the game's description from the YouTube video “Seek adventure at the lovely Airborne Archipelago along your Temtem squad,” reads the teaser trailer’s YouTube video description. “Catch every Temtem, battle other trainers, customize your house, join a friend’s adventure or explore the online living-world”
  • There are currently not platforms announced but the game looks gorgeous
  • It’s unknown if you can, ahem, “catch ‘em all” just yet, but that appears to be the case.
  • The kick starter campaign for Temtem will go live on May 29

Rules of Survival

  • The rules of survival developer team explained why they can't use some of the anti-cheating suggestions by the community like the IP Ban, Pay to Play, Phone Number Registration, 3rd Party Security, Phone Authentication, Rank Matches, and more
  • Let's break them down
    • IP BAN - Ip is very easy to bypass and will affect users playing on internet cafes with the same IP address this will ruin non-cheating players
    • ay to Play - according to the team this isn't fair to their community as the game is free to play and will always stay that way and RoS should be available to all users
    • Register using a legitimate phone number - Because this is a personal information many players don't wish to share this data and this could easily be bypassed by changing phone numbers
    • 3rd Party Security - According to the to Ros team they are exploring this possibility for its advantages and disadvantages as even a 3rd party system does not eliminate cheaters and hackers
    • Phone Authentication - Majority of internet cafes and payers don't own phones
    • Rank Matches - Players are already most likely to be matched with similar ranks however it does go deeper than this
    • Playset Amount of games before joining a Rank Battle - According to RoS team this won't be fair for new players as they already have measures in place for new accounts
    • Improve Anti Cheating measures - According to Ros team the anti-cheat is being updated constantly even its not mentioned in the patch notes
    • Detect the player's action speed, drop, high jump and aiming - The team has already started doing this however they don't release the information this is probably so cheating and hack doesn't bypass the system
    • Death Cam - this a possibility in a future update
  • So this is the feedback from the RoS team to their community what do you think do you have an anti-cheating suggestion not mentioned? let us know in the comments

  • Earlier this month 15 suspects in China were arrested for the development and sales of hacking and cheating programs that affect PUBG
  • This is an ongoing battle of PUBG against hackers if you remember the previously released data from the anti-cheat software BattleEye is that 99 percent of banned players are from the region China
  • Currently, the suspects are fined approximately 30mil RNB or 5.1 million usd equivalent to 260 million pesos while the other suspects are still being investigated
  • According to the reports, the programs that have been distributed includes a “Huigezi Trojan Horse” virus
  • This backdoor program used the virus to control users PC, scan their data and extra information illegally
  • So in short if you used cheating software the hackers will also gain access to your computer
  • PUBG also mentioned that they have upgraded their security measures as well is improving anti-cheat solutions.
  • They are also continuously gathering information on hack developers and sellers to bring legal penalties to this people
