Netflix announces new Onimusha anime

Netflix announces its new upcoming anime Onimusha, which is based on the same name of Capcom’s hit game series.

The announcement was made through a tweet on Netflix Anime with five images of the anime revealed.

Netflix describes, “The beginning of the Edo period, Musashi was no longer a young man. He departs with the legendary Oni Gauntlet to defeat Genma. 3D CGI characters and hand-drawn backgrounds create phenomenal visuals. Onimusha is given a new life using modern-day animation technology.”

The anime’s staff includes:

• Chief Director: Takashi Miike
• Director: Shinya Sugai
• Animation Studio: Sublimation
• Actors: Toshihiro Mifune will serve as the model for character Musashi Miyamoto
