Netflix’ Live-Action Adaptation of Cowboy Bebop will be released this November

Originally announced back in June 2017, the live-action of Cowboy Bebop is now not far off.

The main cast members of this Cowboy Bebop live-action, which is a Netflix adaptation, are John Cho as Spike Spiegel, Mustafa Shakir as Jet, and Daniella Pineda as Faye Valentine. Other actors that have been announced to be a part of this upcoming series are Alex Hassell as Spike’s enemy and Elena Satine as Julia.

Production was halted back in 2019 when Cho suffered from a knee injury and was further postponed when the COVID-19 pandemic hit. Filming officially ended in March of this year. The first season of this show is composed of ten one-hour episodes.

It was announced in June that Yoko Kanno, who composed for the 1998 anime series Cowboy Bebop as well as its film, Cowboy Bebop: Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door, will return to compose music for this Netflix’ live-action adaptation. The director of the anime series, Shinichiro Watanabe, served as the creative consultant.

Cowboy Bebop live-action series on Netflix will be released on November 19, 2021.
