Nier has been a popular series for a lot of gamers. Created by Yoko Taro, Nier has that dark and somber vibe but alongside that fills the player with a great deal of story that will sweep you away. I, for one, loved how they handled Automata's ending and how to achieve it but that's here and there. We'll talk about the newest NieR game that might be a little more accessible as it is on mobile
NieR Re[in]carnation has been in closed beta test in Japan for a while now and while other global players are itching to learn more about the game, most of the testers are Japanese, but fret not as others have shared a piece of information for us. Which is great so we are not being kept in the dark. Gameplay footage has appeared in various subreddits such as r/GachaGaming, here's the specific clip
From what we can see, the gameplay is really based on the trailer but what is more interesting to look at is the combat system. The combat system is turn-based and has certain attack moves and combos on the right side it seems. The actions are stylish and the animation is well-done. If people do not mind the turn based nature of the game and still appreciate NieR for its dark setting, rich atmosphere and strong soundtrack then it would definitely appeal for them.
Seeing the combat system made a discussion in the online forums while some clearly did not like to turn based aspect of the game, reminiscing that it should be somewhere near as Automata's gameplay, others are just excited to play the game for all things that remind them of NieR which in fact is true due to its atmosphere and music, it is still a Yoko Taro masterpiece to behold.
Another thing to note is that, there's talks regarding the gacha system of the game. It has been said that Reincarnation's gacha will be a weapons gacha so it is similar to SINoALICE which can be a good thing for those who like characters and does not want it to be locked, and a bad thing for those who want to play the game in a hybrid manner but we still don't know how the game's weapon grids would work so it is still left in speculation.
With all the talks around the forums, it is clear that NieR Re[in]carnation is definitely taken a lot of people's interests and are hoping to get a global release in the future. While the game is in CBT in Japan, there's no news yet for a global release. But don't give up hope, if the game does well in JP and the devs get attention that people want it in the West, maybe they will push for one, but right now, we're just gonna spectate (well, those who are willing to go the extra mile by making a JP server, be my guest). But that's all for now, do you like what you see so far from NieR Re[in]carnation, tell us in the comment section below!
