After posting cryptic hints on their social media handles, the fans started to speculate that ONIC PH may be disbanding soon and that they will sell their slot in the MPL PH Season 10. The rumors further intensified when the organization released several of its pro players as well as its head coach.

As the rumors kept on getting bigger, ONIC PH finally released their statement and officially denied such happenings within the organization.

“The plan moving forward is to rebuild ONIC Philippines,” said Paolo Pamintuan, head of business development and strategic partnership at ONIC PH, as quoted by SPIN.PH. “Not just from the MPL side of things, even on the management side of things. Essentially we would initiate [our plans] this season.”

He also denied the rumors that the esports organization is planning to sell its franchise slot in MPL PH. “It might have seemed that it was the direction for ONIC (PH) but it’s not the case,” said Paolo.

As for the release of its pro players, Paolo stated that they are looking for ways to move forward with the best interest in mind. “That’s the general idea, we’re just looking to rebuild now. Let’s see what will happen with the players but rest assured that the ONIC Management is looking out for the best interest of the parties involved,” he explained.

As the rumors are now officially addressed and denied, fans can now breathe a sigh of relief. Let’s all wait and look forward to the new ONIC PH in this coming season.
