MSI's line of VR - ready videocards keep on expanding. We have on hand right now the first of hopefully many models bearing the Quick Silver name: presenting the MSI GTX1070 Quick Silver Edition.

Silver backplate seems similar to the "X" version. It has a nice matte finish.

This edition has the same base and memory clock as the GTX1070 Gaming X (1582MHz Base, 2002MHz Memory), 8GB of GDDR5x RAM running through the same 256 bit bus, and essentially the same specifications, including connectivity - 3x Display Port 1.4, 1 HDMI 2.0, and DVI-D port. The main difference lies in the color scheme and the backplate, which has been replaced with what looks like the backplate from the Z series of GTX10 MSI videocards, only in silver and with the name "Quick Silver" emblazoned it.

Fine detailing for the heatpipes maximizes space

Other small changes include a default white LED theme, although it can be changed easily enough through MSI's Gaming App, and the box, which looks like the standard box for lower editions like the Armor version of MSI's GTX1070, but again qith the "Quick Silver" name printed on it. There's also a nice envelop containing the manuals and CDs for this unit, a nice change from previous models.

The Quick Silver edition is perfect for the enthusiast looking to match their graphics unit with the general theme of their build, or the user who simply likes the serious look of this silver and black edition. No price has been set yet. This special edition should be available from your favorite retailers very soon.
