Philippines Lawmakers Ban Matured Games

• we found out that a Philippines Lawmaker want to prohibit minors from accessing mature rated games
• according to the lawmaker this is because its detrimental to the welfare growing up
• according to the report the “House Committee on Welfare of Children” should conduct an inquiry regarding the effects of character based video games on children
• they also added that they should prescribe countermeasures to discourage children from playing character based video games
• according to the lawmaker this was cited on a recent study that teenagers who play “risk-glorifiying, character-based video games” are more susceptible to act aggressively, drink alcohol, smoke cigarettes and engage in unprotected sex
• what?
• what study is he talking about?
• but wait there's more it gets dumber than this
• according to the lawmaker "Character-based video games let people practice being someone else, and practicing at being a character who is an antisocial deviant may have broad behavioral consequences for kids"
• which he also suggest that teenage players may develop values similar to their deviant game characters
• this is just plain stupid in our opinion
• basically the lawmaker is suggesting players imitate what they play?
• so if you play a violent game like csgo you will become a terrorist! or if you play gta v you will start punching people on the street and steal their cars
• again what study suggest this? there isn't much study or claim to actually back this
• if you go to wikipedia under the video game controversies in the scientific debate
• majority of the studies pointed out there there is no evidence or correlation between videogames and violence
• so what the hell is he talking about?
• but then again its not for us to decide as this out of touch lawmakers focusing on the wrong things

Blizzard bans Blitzchung because of China

• Recently a Hearthstone hongkong player “Blitzchung” was banned by Blizzard after winning the Hearthstone Grandmasters tournament!
• So why did this happen?
• well, the player dressed in gas mask and goggles used the phrase “Liberate Hong Kong, revolution of our age” if translated in the post game interview
• basically using the platform to address the current situation in Hong Kong in protest of China
• the live stream interview then got disconnected suddenly
• “Blitzchung” lost his 10,000 usd prize winnings and received a 1 year ban
• according to Blizzard he violated their rules of “engaging in acts that bring themselves into “public disrepute”, offend anybody or damage the developer’s image”
• according to the player he has no regrets
• but wait there's more
• the shoutcasters interviewing the player has also been terminated by Blizzard
• on the other hand Blizzard is currently getting backlash where politicians even weighing in the situation
• majority of the players are saying that Blizzard is protecting their Chinese stakeholder Tencent
• then on Blizzards official weibo the also issued the following statement which says the following if google translated
• “We are very angered and disappointed at what happened at the event last weekend and highly object to the expression of personal political beliefs in any of our events. As always, we will defend the pride and dignity of China at all cost”
• it can't get more obvious than that!
• just wow blizzard how can you sink so low
• currently even the Blizzard employees walked out in protest of the player ban
• and on twitter a hashtag blizzardboycott is trending
• and many players currently canceling their World of Warcraft subscription
• some US politicians are saying the following “Blizzard shows it is willing to humiliate itself to please the Chinese Communist Party.”
• so in short this is what's happening
• A US company
• is self censoring themselves so that they don't lose the Chinese Market
• then for other game developers
• the fortnite developer Epic games told “The Verge” the following statements “Epic supports everyone’s right to express their views on politics and human rights”
• so yeah
• this might be too complicated to understand since gaming is now being affected by foreign politics and human rights
• actually there was also an issue in the NBA that concerns China as well but thats for a different topic

PUBG M Bans and Major Update 0.15.0

• In a new ban wave PUBG corporation banned Over 2,400 PUBG Mobile cheaters
• this users are not permanently but they will receive 10 year bans!
• according to the report players that got ban are those using weapon recoil mods, auto-aiming, and usage of a third-party game client
• then for the new game update
• The next Major update of PUBG Mobile 0.15.0 will launch on October 16!
• this was revealed on the PUBG’s official instagram india account
• so what's new?
• PUBG M will have a new game mode called Payload
• so in this game mode players can resurrect their allies by picking up their ID cards then bring to a communication tower
• basically like Apex Legends
• the new game mode will also allow players to use a M3E1 Missile launcher to target helicopters along with M79 and MGL rocket launchers
• the vehicles will also get repair packs and raid locators
• while the PC version BRDM-2 armored vehicle will also arrive
• then the long awaited feature gas cans which explodes after being shot will also be included
• aside from this new skins for weapons, crate animations, and others are also expected
• the season 9 will also continue upto November so expect more contents on the 0.15.0 update

RoS KOF Event

• Recently the Netease Battle Royale Game Rules of Survival teamed up with The King of Fighters for their collaboration event
• so what's new?
• Well basically players can play the 5 King of Fighters characters, namely Mai Shiranui, Iori Yagami, Kyo Kusanagi, Athena Asamiya, and Terry Bogard
• there will also be KOF themed items as well as a game mode
• for example there will be an exclusive Kyo and Lori’s sports cars, themed weapons, stickers, avatar frames and name cards
• then on the KoF themed game mode players can use the abilities of the fighters
• actually there's even a special attack
• though take note each character will have different unique abilities that you can stack
• and that's it if you are interested its already available
• but the real question is…

Red Dead Redemption 2 PC

• A few days ago Rockstar confirmed that Red Dead Redemption 2 is
• the PC version will be released on November 5 which can be purchased digitally on Epic games store or the new rockstar game launcher
• however take note
• the pc requirements of the game will require 150GB
• so if you have no space and you want to play this game we suggest deleting some of your educational videos
• aside from it being large Rockstar will include more graphical improvements which can support 4k HDR
• there will also be new contents in the game like new bounty missions, new gang hideouts, new treasure maps, new story mode weapons as well new story mode horses
• so that's it will you play the game?

• After several rumors sony confirmed that the new Playstation will be called Playstation 5 and that it will be released on the holiday of 2020
• along with this announcement sony has confirmed it will be changing some functionality of its controller as will be replacing the rumble technology with what they call adaptive triggers
• as for the graphical features
• its reported the the new PS5 will be capable of ray tracing in their GPU hardware
• the storage will now be an internal ssd which according to sony since the data transfer will now be faster there would be lesser file size installation
• additionally according the interview of “The Wired” the PS5’s interface will be revamped with more focus on social elements
• so in a short run down here are the things we can expect from the upcoming PS5

  • Custom Chip from AMD
  • 8K Resolution
  • PS4 Backward Comp & PSVR Support
  • Controller will have Adaptive Trigger to feel resistance on L2&R2, also Haptic Feedback and 100GB discs

• PS5 might not be fully backward compatible
