PlayStation Plus December 2021 free games revealed

PlayStation Plus has released its final batch of free titles for the year, which includes three PS4 games, one of which is also available on the PS5.

Godfall: Challenger Edition is the game having a native PS5 version. This PS5 launch release is a loot-based hack-and-slash with protagonists decked out in gleaming gear.

The Challenger Edition gives you the weapons and skill points you'll need to survive from the start, allowing you to undertake endgame stuff right away. Players on the PS5 and PS4 may play online with one another.

Available on PS Plus on 7th December, 2021:
  • Godfall: Challenger Edition (PS4/PS5)
  • LEGO DC Super Villains (PS4)
  • Mortal Shell (PS4)
  • The Persistence (PSVR)
  • The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners – Standard Edition (PSVR)
  • Until You Fall (PSVR)

Then there's LEGO DC Super-Villains for PS4. You undoubtedly know what to expect from a LEGO game, and it's the same here: an open-world center, collecting everything in Free Play with unlocked characters, and a lot of wacky comedy.

As the title suggests, the focus of this game is on the villains rather than the heroes. After the Justice League inexplicably vanishes, renowned villains grudgingly take on the job of Earth's guardians, according to the plot.

Finally, Mortal Shell is an action-adventure role-playing game set in a post-apocalyptic universe. As you deal with frightening cult members, your talents and sanity will be put to the test. It's cliche nowadays to compare a game to Dark Souls, so we'll simply say it's not Dark Souls.

Despite the fact that the last two games are PS4 games, they can be played on a PS5 thanks to backwards compatibility. Mortal Shell does have a native PS5 Enhanced Edition, but it isn't being given out for free here.

Leaving PS Plus on 7th December, 2021:
  • Knockout City (PS4/PS5)
  • First Class Trouble (PS4/PS5)
  • Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning (PS4)
