Good news for the Pokemon trainers out there! Pokemon Sword and Shield is now available for purchase! A lot of hype has been around this release since it will be on Nintendo Switch. So what can players expect with this game?
Players will be roaming around a new region called "Galar", which somewhat looks like the Pokemon version of United Kingdom.
There's also a lot of new Pokemons including the starters Scorbunny, Sobble, and Grookey, along with a new combat mechanic that will replace the Z-moves and Mega-Evolutions: Dynamaxing which lets your Pokemon transform into a large version of themselves for a limited time.
There is also the introduction of Wild Area. It is an area full of wild Pokemons and is designed as a space that you can revisit throughout the game.
There are a lot of Pokemons in the Wild Area, some of which you can't fight or catch until later on the game.
You don't know what levels this Pokemons are until you engage them in a fight, which makes it feels like more of an adventure! It is also worth noting that large Pokemons like Gyrados appear as what they should look like: Gigantic!
Gym battles are also held in a huge soccer stadium style field where thousands of spectators watch you fight it out against other trainers!
