Pre-orders for FFVII Advent Children in 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and Digital are now available

People will be able to watch one of the installments in the Final Fantasy VII Compilation in a different way. The FFVII Advent Children Complete 4K UHD + Blu-Ray + Digital edition is now available for pre-order. The $30.99 film is now available for pre-order on Amazon.

That means this remaster is only for long-time fans, or even outsiders who don't mind venturing into one of the FF7 gang's potential futures. It will be released on June 8, and like the 2009 Blu-ray version, it will have an “extended director's cut with 26 minutes of exciting new footage and over 1,000 revamped scenes,” according to Sony Pictures. In addition to modern Dolby Atmos audio in English and Japanese, the 4K Blu-ray has 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio in all languages. A standard Blu-ray disc contains the film's bonus features as well as a 1080p version of the film.

The synopsis, disc details, and bonus materials for Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete can be found below.

Two years have passed since peace was won, and the ruins of Midgar stand as a testament to the sacrifices made to win that battle. But when a mysterious illness is linked to an insidious plot to resurrect an old enemy, Cloud must choose between the life of solitude he committed to or taking up the sword once more to save the planet he so loves.

Many of the people who worked on the original game were interested in the creation of FFVII Advent Children, which was released in 2005. Kazushige Nojima wrote the screenplay, and Nobuo Uematsu composed the score. The former worked on Final Fantasy VII, Before Crisis: FFVII, Crisis Core: FFVII, and Final Fantasy VII Remake, and will be working on Ever Crisis and First Soldier in the future. Tetsuya Nomura directed the film, which was produced by Yoshinori Kitase and Shinji Hashimoto. t takes place two years after the events of the game and primarily follows Cloud, Tifa, Reno, Rude, Rufus. All five are at odds with the villainous Kadaj and his brothers Loz and Yazoo, who are searching for a remnant of their “mother,” Jenova.

In 2009, FFVII Advent Children Complete debuted. It added additional footage. (For example, more scenes involving the Turks appeared.) It also included a new animated OVA called On the Way to a Smile: Episode Denzel, which focuses on Denzel and Reeve.
