PUBG: New State announces new map and more content coming up this year

In honor of the new year, Krafton has revealed the first glimpse at a new map that will be added to PUBG: New State in 2022.

Krafton disclosed in a Happy New Year greeting that it is working on a new battleground that will launch in mid-2022. While no specifics were provided, it appears to feature a harsh topography with plants and mountains. They will also be adding two new maps to PUBG: Battlegrounds, Kiki and Tiger, in the near future. According to the pictures, the new map does not match either of these.

PUBG: New State currently includes two battle royale maps, the unique Troi and an improved version of Erangel which are both 88 kilometers long. Krafton has yet to announce how big the upcoming map to New State will be.

The developer also claimed that it was working on "a lot of additional stuff" for a 2022 release. The first of these is scheduled to be released in the first two months of next year. More information will be published later.

PUBG: New State was published more than a month ago, yet gamers have been complaining about connection troubles, optimization concerns, and game flaws. Several updates have been made available to address these vulnerabilities. Krafton informed gamers today that one of its top priorities for next year will be to keep updating and improving the game. According to the developer, this will be accomplished by "open and transparent dialogue" with the gamers.

Krafton has also published a new year's gift that can be claimed till January 10. Players can get six Chicken Medals and three Royal Chest Tickets by entering the promo code "HAPPYNEWSTATE" here.
