Weekly Gaming Update by Pinoy Gamer! Let's talk about PUBG's Redzone, Savage Map, and PUBG Map Selector, New Battle Royale Radical Heights, Globe Gaming initiative, Dragon Nest M, New Gundam Breaker and Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls


PUBG
  • For our PUBG news
  • PUBG creator defends the red zone, tells players to get better
  • It's no secret that majority of the community hates PUBG’s red zone
  • however, in the latest statement of Greene, he mentioned the following to “Eurogamer”
  • “you shouldn’t be dying to the red zone. If you’re dying in the red zone then, I’m sorry but you’re not a very good player.”
  • Seems a little harsh especially when so many people disliking the red zone but it's not like it's hard to stay safe from the bombs unless you're in an open field then good luck
  • Additionally, according to PUBG Corp’s team, the newest map called Savage which is currently work in progress will let you parachute into an underground cave system
  • This was inspired by a recent trip by the team on Thailand’s Phrayo Nakhon Cave
  • This is in line with the south-east Asian themed map
  • According to the team, the goal is to allow players to drop straight into the mouth of the cave, gear up, and then fight their way out.
  • and lastly, PUBG will soon let players choose which maps they do and don’t want to play on
Radical Heights
  • A new free to play battle royale game called Radical Heights has been recently released
  • “It looks fun” “it's a good 80’s battle royale” this are the words said by PUBG creator Brendan Greene to Radical Heights in a recent interview with Trusted Reviews, hopefully, they don't file a lawsuit lol
  • The game is developed by Boss Key Productions who also developed the game LawBreakers
  • Radical Heights is themed on the 80’s inside a game show
  • The battle royale system of the game does not use the common shrinking circle but instead uses a grid system
  • the game also allows players to gain in-game money to purchase for better gear
  • Radical Heights graphics is much closer to Fortnite rather than PUBG
  • and most importantly the game explains why you have to kill each other which PUBG and Fortnite lacks
  • the game is currently on “X-treme” early access and for its first patch Radical Heights is getting bike tricks and a quick melee option

Globe eSports
  • Globe Telecom announces the launch of its Globe Gaming initiative, to promote esports in the Philippines, and produce original content.
  • Globe will work with Riot Games and Garena to build sanctioned League of Legends and Arena of Valor events in the region.
  • the companies say, will offer gamers better access to local, regional, and global eSports competitions, as well as original content and exclusive programming
  • Globe will also collaborate with the Mineski events team to bring back the Manila Masters tournament for 2019.
  • CEO Ernest Cu told TEO that Globe’s objective is “to bring Filipino gaming to the world stage.”
  • Globe Telecom CEO Ernest Cu says that the Globe Gaming team is led by staff with backgrounds in the gaming space.
Dragon Nest M
  • The hit PC MMORPG Dragon Nest M has just launched on Android
  • The game features a cross-save system where you can play on either Android or iOS
  • The game requires you to uninstall first the CBT version then download the OBT
  • Unlike Lineage 2 and Flyff Legacy, it seems like you can’t just play Dragon Nest M on autopilot
  • Dragon Nest M has 6 classes the Warrior, Archer, Sorceress, Cleric, Academic, Assassin and over 70 skills with exclusive character emblems
  • The game is featuring a no-lock battle system so you could combine your skill freely
  • Multiplayer features such as PvP, Arena and World Boss are all available as well.
  • Dragon Nest M is currently on OBT and an iOS version is soon to follow
Gundam Breaker
  • Gundam breakers will launch worldwide for PlayStation 4 and PC on June 22
  • This will be the first time it will be available on PC and will be available on Stream
  • On a recent update, its also mentioned that Gundam Avalanche Exia, Nightingale, Star Burning Gundam, and Atlas Gundam will be playable in New Gundam Breaker
  • To those who don't know the new Gundam Breaker grants players plenty of freedom in building their own Gunpla.
  • The game sports a story mode as well as a brand new 3v3 Co-Op mode.
  • The gameplay sports a hack and slash with boss battles where you can gather Gunpla parts from heads, legs, weapons, shields and many more
  • You can also customize your Gunpla off and on the battlefield with new real-time weapon and armor swapping
Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls
  • Konami unveiled the latest game in the Castlevania franchise called Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls for iOS
  • Players will traverse Dracula’s castle in a brand new, fully-fledged adventure
  • Grimoire of Souls features familiar faces from past Castlevania games including Alucard, Maria Renard, and Simon Belmont
  • New characters will be joining the mix too, including Lucy, a researcher, and government agent Genya Arikado
  • Players face off in 4v4 multiplayer or work together to take on bosses in boss rush mode.
  • Konami is hosting a closed beta test for the game in Japan, which you can sign up for on the game’s website
  • Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls is expected to launch in Japan later this year on the App Stor
