Ragnarok Origin English Patch Guide

Ragnarok M: Eternal Love gave us the nostalgic presence of the classic MMORPG, Ragnarok. Recently, Gravity released yet another improved Ragnarok game in Korea - Ragnarok Origins. It received a lot of positive reviews from its two previous closed beta tests. Unfortunately, the game launched exclusively in Korea and no global release date was given.

Right now, there are two ways for you to be able to play this game - either you live in Korea or you use VPN and a translating tool. Luckily, team xkro created an English patch for the game since most of us don't really know how to read Korean language.

Please read the instructions and important notes carefully. The specifications and download links for the tools you'll need are already included.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Android phone or Emulator with Android 6.0 or above
• Any Emulators: Bluestacks | NoxPlayer | Memu | LDPlayer
• TapTap App (To download Ragnarok Origin): TapTap
• Hola VPN or something similar that can connect to korea
• xkro English Patcher:

IMPORTANT NOTES:

• This procedure is ONLY for Android users.
• Just as the initial requirement says, if you use android 5 or below, the patcher app will automatically crash.
• The patch doesn't work for everybody. Personally, I've used a Realme phone, Nox, and Memu. It didn't work on my side. But there are people who used Nox and Huawei Y9 and successfully patched the game. Until now, there's no confirmed devices or emulator with guaranteed success.
• The game is still fresh and you're using it outside of Korea so expect a lot of connection errors.
• For the emulators, you'll need Android 7 or above to avoid the patcher from crashing.
  
  
  You may refer to this video on how to upgrade your usual Android 5 emulator to Android 7 using NoxPlayer.
  
  This method is also applicable to other emulators.

STEP BY STEP PROCEDURE:

1. Make sure that you've downloaded and installed TapTap, Hola VPN and xkro's English Patcher from the requirements. If you're using an emulator, make sure you've already upgraded it to Android 7 or above.
2. Open Taptap app and it will automatically bring you to download section of Ragnarok Origin. Just tap Download and wait for it to complete and click Done.
3. Do NOT open the game yet. Open xkro's English Patcher and you'll see something like the photo above. Click on option beside Patch Branch and choose "Google Translated".
4. Click Download Patch and wait for it to complete. Once done, click Install Patch and wait for it to complete. This is where most people are stuck. If you get the error message while patching, it means you're part of the majority who got stuck. If you're lucky and your patching is complete, you may proceed to the next step.
5. Open Hola VPN or other VPN apps that you trust. Set your country to South Korea. Some says Japan works also.
6. Open Ragnarok Origin via Hola. You can connect to Ragnarok Origin for as long as you open it thru Korea via VPN services.
