Class Selection Guide: Acolyte > Priest > High Priest (Exorcism)
If you've ever played Ragnarok Online on PC or mobile version, do take extra note that the system in ROX is somewhat similar but then again it is not 100% similar. But either way, let’s enjoy the game and grow strong together!
At the beginning, we'll all be starting out as a novice in the main city, Prontera, going through the main story quest, together with tutorial to unlock more functions and also to understand the game better. When you hit job level 10, there'll be a quest pop out to auto path to the Criatura Academy for your job change, YAY!! And then you'll be given three recommended builds, each with different stats, skill set and beginner weapon.
For acolyte, they are mainly;
For my case, I want to build a full support priest and give my teammates buff and heal. However, I'll be going for Exocist build first, reason being that you'll be having a very hard time slowly poking the monster, especially those that are not undead, demon, or formless type where you can spam heal on them to kill them faster. Unless you’re able to get a permanent party team up that brings you every where and leech, with and without Odin’s Blessing to so to fasten up your exp gains from afk grinding.
So for exocist acolyte, I’ll be given staff that gives matk and mpen as base stats, and mdef shield that gives hp and mdef stats, more survivability first so not to get crushed during instances when you're kind of absent minded or slow in reaction.
Stats: I’ll not be following the recommended stats that’s given by the game guide, instead I’ll pump all into INT for more matk. By the way, our matk will affect the amount of all healing skills which consist of Light Blessing from acolyte's skill tree, Santuary from priest’s skill tree, and coluceo heal from high priest’s skill tree. Only the normal Heal in acotyle's skill tree will be based on your Base Level and INT. After which, you can pump either DEX for more haste/vigor that helps with cast and cooldown time, or VIT for more hp which helps with survivability. There will be free stats reset stone given as time goes by, so don’t worry if you pump in the wrong stats or want to try a different build!
Skills: Do take extra note that the active skill has their cooldown or cast time which increases in each level. Here, we’ll get the skills to level 1 first, then subsequently slowly increasing them to higher level where your variable cooldown time is reduced to the maximum. Below are the skills that I would up before getting to priest (not in order);
Equipment: For starting out, the equipment set dropped from Golden Thief Bug instance is good enough to last you until you get enough coins to exchange for purple equipment. For accessories, do get the ones that gives haste/vigor to reduce your variable casting and cooldown time. It really helps a lot though it’s just a small amount.
Card: Aim for vigor, matk mpen, hp cards.
