Realme reveals the two versions of its Realme GT5

Realme has finally released its super-powered phone, Realme GT5. There are two versions released, 150W and 240W, with the former coming with either 12/256GB of memory amounting to PHP 23,829.28 or 16/512GB of memory, which costs PHP 26,212.20.

However, the 240W version only has one type of memory, which is 24GB of RAM and 1TB storage. This model is only a bit pricier than the first two options, costing around PHP 30,000.00, and as both have different charge systems, each comes with different battery capacities with the 150W having 5,240mAh while 240W has 4,600mAh.

With this kind of charging system for both devices, the 240W only needs 80 seconds to get to 20% while the 150W version only needs 7 minutes to get halfway done in charging and whichever version you will avail, you will get the original Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. Both versions use a 9-layer cooling system with 20,827mm² vapor chamber.

The device features a flat 6.74” AMOLED panel with 1,240 x 2,772px resolution (20:9). It renders colors in 10-bit and has 100% coverage of DCI-P3. Its peak brightness is 1,400 nits and it uses 2,160Hz high frequency PWM dimming. The display also runs at 144Hz refresh rate. Along with the Adreno GPU, it is also paired with a X7 display chip that does frame insertion.

After the display, let’s go on to the device’s camera. It features a 50MP main camera based on a Sony IMX890 sensor (1/1.56”). This 24mm lens has an f/1.9 aperture and OIS. It also features a 112° ultra wide camera with 8MP resolution, plus a 2MP macro module. A LED light that frames a Snapdragon logo is part of the device as well, which can light up to 26 colors and has 5 levels of brightness adjustment. A 16MP sensor (S5K3P9) is used for the phone’s selfie camera.

The Realme GT5 is a dual-SIM 5G phone that has Wi-Fi 7 support. A Bluetooth antenna that supports v5.3 with aptX HD, LHDC, LDAC and LC3 audio codecs is also included in its specifications. The speakers are a Dolby Atmos with a X-axis linear motor for haptic feedback. It also has a fingerprint reader on the front with 0.25s reaction time. A 3-band GPS (L1+L2+L5) is used for its positioning.

The device will be available in two colors, which are Silver with a mirror finish and Green with a matte finish. Pre-order the device now from Realme’s Chinese store, however, the sales will start tomorrow, September 4.
