RedMagic shows off Cyberpunk 2077 running on RedMagic 7S Pro in response against iPhone 15 Pro

During Apple’s September event that took place last week, the iPhone 15 and 15 Pro was officially revealed. But aside from the announcement of the new iPhones, the biggest reveal at that time was the ability of the 15 Pro to run console games.

Due to this, Apple demonstrated and announced that several console games will be arriving in the coming months, including Resident Evil 4 Remake, Resident Evil Village, and Assassins Creed Mirage.

Add to that, Death Stranding will be arriving as well. The ability of 15 Pro to play console games is because of Apple’s new A17 chip. As it features MetalFX upscaling, its own version of DLSS or FSR, and hardware ray tracing support, it was what allowed 15 Pro to have console games.

In retaliation to the reveal of Apple, RedMagic showed off how it can also run a console game by using RedMagic 7S Pro. It can be seen on the video posted on X how the RedMagic 7S Pro is running Cyberpunk 2077.

Even if the game is running via an emulator, Box64Droid, and is also running at 5fps, which is not really an acceptable playable frame rate, I think we can all agree with RedMagic’s assessment that this is quite impressive. Mobile gaming has a really bright future ahead of it.

Now, the pressure is on for both Snapdragon or Google as Apple has really brought the competition up a notch. Let’s see what the other two companies will bring to the table to best Apple by giving competitive performance to Android devices.
