Riot Games launches a new trailer featuring VALORANT's newest agent, Neon

VALORANT gamers will soon be able to take the fight to their opponents thanks to Neon, the newest agent to enter the game with an electrifying ability set.

Riot Games has announced the newest VALORANT agent, Neon, on January 5 with a trailer displaying her rapid, electrifying ability kit. Fans received their first in-depth look at Neon today, thanks to a new cinematic video that revealed her personality and fascinating new skills.

Neon is a Filipino spy that can easily outmaneuver and outgun opponents. The trailer shows her sprinting past foes, and she can even slide to escape in gunfights.

In the trailer, she throws an electric ball that bounces off walls and does damage to the area where it hits. Neon has a similar ability to Phoenix's wall, but this one includes two blue walls that appear to provide protection on both sides. Neon's ultimate power appears to be an electric ability that allows her to fire electricity from her fingers. It's unknown how much damage this deals, but it appears to be a deadly ability capable of easily winning gunfights.

For weeks, players have been catching glimpses of Neon. A blog post in December provided admirers their first peek at her shoes, which also hinted at her skills due to a streak of lightning seen beneath one of the soles. The VALORANT Prime Gaming loot page also uploaded a photograph of Neon ahead of the new year, giving fans an official glimpse at the new agent.

While it hasn't been officially confirmed, Neon appears to be taking on the duelist role based on her abilities—and she should "sprint into the scene" at the opening of Episode Four: Disruption.
