Greg "Ghostcrawler" Street, one of Riot Games' Vice President, revealed on twitter last December that he was working on a new project. He had also confirmed that the game would be an MMO, hyping up a lot of League of Legends fans. Now, the gears are ready to turn as the company goes searching for new developers that would help them finally bring Runeterra to life.

Since MMO's can prove to be difficult to make and might take decades to develop, Riot Games is gonna need a pretty large and talented team in order to move on with this project. Although there aren't specific openings on the team yet, they have already opened up a job recruitment page on their official website, and are interested with developers who have direct experience on MMO's, specifically in the following areas:
  • Gameplay Engineering
  • Game Design
  • UX Design
  • Game Art (All Sub-Disciplines)
  • Game Production.
Even if you do not meet the criteria, you can still submit an application and hopefully catch a team role that fits you.

In a few couple of years, players might finally be rewarded the chance to explore the broad and extensive land of Runeterra. Venture out on a journey from the hot desert sands of Shurima to the cold, icy lands of Freljord. There are endless possibilities that can make each gameplay uniquely exciting and fans can't wait to see it happen.

Although further details about the League MMO are yet to come, it might take a while before we see the game roll out for open and closed beta testing. It'll be one of Riot's biggest project alongside the auto-battlers and card games, which they have already released, and their upcoming single RPG, The Ruined King. Hopefully, the excitement will get better over the years, so you better watch out.
