Rocket League for Mobile Titled as Sideswipe Coming Later this Year

Psyonix's popular soccer game Rocket League will finally have its mobile version. Coming to iOS and Android, it will be released later this year.

Titled as Rocket League Sideswipe, it is a free-to-play mobile game that is almost the same as the main version but was developed to suit iOS and Android. In Sideswipe, players will fight against each other in a fast-pace 2-minute 1v1 or 2v2 match. You could play with friends who are near or far thanks to online play.

Featuring mobile controls that are easy to pick-up, there are also advanced mechanics for those who want to participate in Competitive Ranks. Robust car customization is also featured in Sideswipe. Players should expect that an online Ranking System is present for competitive play.

Targeted for worldwide launch, Psyonix announced that a limited-time Regional Alpha Test for Android via Google Play Store has already started yesterday in Australia and New Zealand. There will be more future betas in other regions but will be later announced in coming months.
