Maple Story M

- The mobile version of Maple Story which is called Maple Story M recently had its soft launch
- and good news for the participating countries includes the Philippines
- To those who don't remember Maple Story is a highly popular MMORPG for PC
- The game has an anime style feel to it with 2D gameplay
- The game is like a 2D side-scroller with hack and slash gameplay
- So the game requires you to run and jump across a bunch of platforms to battle a variety of enemies
- On Maple Story, you can also select a class and build of your choice
- You can now grab Maple Story M on the play store
- According to the devs, there won't be a server wipe and will slowly roll out on additional regions

- If you can beat them sue them! because recently
- PUBG corp sues Fortnite Publisher for alleged copyright infringement
- as PUBG Corp is taking epic games to the court in South Korea over accusations that Epic games copied intellectual property to create Fortnite Battle Royale
- oh boy someone's salty
- According to a PUBG representative “this is a measure to protect our copyrights”
- The corporation filed an injunction in January against Epic games in Korea
- Based on the reports PUBG is accusing Fornite of copying the user interface and game items
- So basically PUBG is saying that they created the use of grenades, assault rifles, and shotguns in a video game
- hmmm I wonder how many video games are using that
- This is what bothers us PUBG as a game doesn't have a brand everything is just generic
- if you look into the weapons it's the same weapons on every fps game
- even the maps, player models, buildings, and trees they are too generic with no recognizable brand
- If you remember PUBG is also suing NetEase for copying in-game items, for example, the shipping containers in the port
- if you are in the right mind shipping containers are obviously going to be found in a shipping port
- next is frying pan! PUBG claims this is uniquely from them! have you played left 4 dead? you guessed it frying pan is a weapon on that game
- to cut this short it's hard to claim they invented this top to be claimed for copyright because you didn't this claims are weak
- Now let's go to Fortnite
- If you play Fortnite every asset in the game can be distinguished as a Fortnite item
- the visuals, weapons, even the bus! the battle bus!
- Branding is very strong in Fornite you cannot say its generic unlike PUBG
- Another thing to note is is this really a good choice for PUBG corp to sue epic games? remember they are using unreal engine developed by epic games
- To those who don't know here is a little story
- There is a developer Silicon Knights with the game Too Human who had a legal battle with Epic games
- So what epic games did is they counter lawsuit for breaching the terms and agreement
- and Now where is that company Epic games basically erased that company as no longer exist
- hopefully, it won't come to this
- To end this news it seems PUBG is acting like a sore loser and pathetic instead of using their resources to improve their game they using them on petty lawsuits
- This is sad because PUBG is not a failure in all accounts but the company make it feel that way
- So what do you think? comment your opinion below
