Sibol eSports Philippines National Team for SEA Games
  • Since the 2019 SEA games is coming its recently announced that Sibol will be the national team representing the Philippines for the 2019 Southeast Asian Games
  • So why Sibol?
  • According to them because the word represents “growth” which signifies the rise of Philippines talents in the world
  • Sibol eSports will be competing in all six titles featured on the eSports event for the 30th SEA games
  • so this includes Dota 2, StarCraft II, Hearthstone, Arena of Valor, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, and Tekken 7
  • The dota 2 team will be composed of Kuku, Tims, Armel, Eyyou, DJ, Raven, Abed, Ninkaboogie and Bimbo
  • their coach will be Sindata while the manager is Paolo Sy
  • then the Mobile Legends team will be composed by Ribo, Yakou, Haze, Dee, Yuji, Pheww, Jeffqt4ever, Jay, Ryo, Pein, Tets, Coco, Dysania, Ejhay, Eson, Lusty, and Killuash
  • wow thats alot!
  • their coach will be Mits and Panda with Manager Jab
  • while for AoV the team will be composed of Gambit, 1717, Bents, Rubbixx and Miggie
  • with the manager being VIcta and coach Cyriux
  • So those are the national players for Mobile games, now lets go to blizzard games
  • for Starcraft 2 it will be represented by Enderr with manager JackDReaper and Coach exoBlazer
  • then for Hearthstone it will be Staz and Jia
  • this is with coach Chalk and manager Pompi
  • Then finally for our fighting game representative Tekken 7
  • the team will be Doujin and Ak
  • with the coach Naturelover and Manager Hot E
  • so those are the Philippin representatives
  • basically it's an all star roster
  • it's also mentioned that there will be 74 players that will be recruited in the training pool which will be trimmed down to 27 members after the selection process
  • So what do you think of the current rosters?

Dragon Ball MMO

  • The Dragon Ball mmo now has a name
  • roughly translated as Dragon Ball: Legend of Time and Space
  • this MMORPG is an officially licensed from Bandai
  • which will be available on PC
  • currently there are 4 playable races: Saiyan, Earthling, Majin, and Namekian
  • with each have their own specialty for example the Majin will have high defense while Namekian are more for long range support

  • and currently it's still in chinese

Slam Dunk Mobile

  • First revealed in 2018 the official Slam Dunk Mobile now is now playable
  • as a demo footage was revealed in the recent china joy event
  • do note that the game is still under development and as usual its Dena
  • the Slamdunk Mobile game is a cooperation with Toe Animation basically it's officially licensed
  • the game will feature a chibi like 3v3 and 5v5 full court basketball
  • if you are interested there is still no release date
  • but what im really interested in is the Inter high tournament for Slam Dunk!

Guild Wars 2 Mobile

  • In are recent financial call by NCsoft it was mentioned that cabal that Guild Wars 2 might be getting a mobile version
  • although not directly mentioned
  • in the recent report NCsoft mentioned that Arenanet the developer of guild wars are conducting internal reviews for several projects
  • which includes mobile
  • so guild wars 2 confirm? maybe and hopefully
  • but if this is true we are not sure how will this run for mobile because if i'm not mistaken
  • Guild Wars 2 when it was initially release requires a good pc
  • I remember players literally upgrading for this game!

Call of Duty Modern Warfare Console

  • In a recent interview with Infinity Ward design director Joe Cecot
  • Call of Duty Modern Warfare will support mouse and keyboard on consoles!
  • do note that the matchmaking will be based on peripheral
  • so if you are using controller you will only be matched with players using controller
  • and if you use mouse and keyboard you will be matched with the mouse and keyboard players
  • it's also mentioned that you can't change peripheral mid match
  • to those who don't know Call of Duty Modern Warfare is a cross platform game means you can play with PC, Xbox nad Ps4 players

Dota 2 Matchmaking Changes / Scrub Update

  • Recently its revealed the valve is making changes on Dota 2’s match making
  • but oh boy the changes are massive as its currently the biggest matchmaking dota 2 update ever
  • In the official blog post they are addressing community complaints and then pushed some experimental changes
  • So what are these changes?
  • The first big changes is for the Solo and Party MMR
  • because this time they won't be calculated separately , so its now a joint MMR
  • according to valve this was changed because they want players to focus on team play
  • because right now Dota 2 players prefer to play solo
  • Also for the accuracy of MMR
  • they Valve decided to release a Core and Support MMR stats
  • so now you can decide which position you want to play in a match
  • on top of that the each MMR type will now have its own leaderboard
  • at least this time support players get the spotlight they deserve!
  • Next update is the Summoner Scrub
  • this update has 2 parts one for the code which now focuses on intra-team balance, player conduct, new player experience, abusive behaviors, account buying, friend and teamplay aspects
  • then bug fixes and other quality of life improvements
  • so basically this update tackles the aspects of matchmaking dynamics, and other issues
  • According to valve this is an effort to make the overall experience of playing Dota more fun for players of all levels
  • So far the community response are positive but what do you think?
