Sony announced Inzone M3 and Inzone M9 gaming monitors inspired by PlayStation 5 design elements

The Inzone M3 and Inzone M9 from Sony have high refresh rate panels. The Inzone M3 and Inzone M9 are 27-inch gaming monitors with looks that would look great next to a PlayStation 5. They support DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.1, among other capabilities.

The Inzone M3 and Inzone M9 are two game monitors from Sony that pay homage to the PlayStation 5. The Inzone M3 is the less expensive option to the Inzone M9 because they are both 27-inch monitors with 400 nits of usual brightness. It follows that the Inzone M3 has a faster panel than the Inzone M9, although having a lesser resolution.

However, the Inzone M3 supports contemporary features like Variable Refresh Rate and outputs at up to 1080p (HDMI VRR). The Inzone M3 specifically outputs at up to 240 Hz, which it can lower to 24 Hz if necessary. To reduce image tearing, Sony has added Adaptive-Sync (VESA DP) and NVIDIA G-SYNC. The Inzone M3 boasts dual 2 W speakers, a faster mode that allows 1 ms response rates, and DisplayHDR 400 certification.

The Inzone M9, in comparison, offers a native resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 pixels, a refresh rate of 144 Hz, and a maximum brightness of 600 nits. The Inzone M9's HDMI connectors are limited to 120 Hz, and its DisplayPort output is only capable of 144 Hz. While the Inzone M9 also has 1 ms response times and twin 2 W speakers, it offers DisplayHDR 600 certification instead of DisplayHDR 400. However, both monitors feature the following ports:

  • 1x 3.5 mm jack
  • 1x DisplayPort 1.4
  • 2x HDMI 2.1
  • 3x USB Type-A (Downstream)
  • 1x USB Type-B (Upstream)
  • 1x USB Type-C (DP Alt Mode, Upstream)

The Sony Inzone M9 is already available to pre-order for £999 in the UK and €1,099 in the Eurozone. While Sony has not confirmed the Inzone M3's pricing yet, TFT Central claims that the monitor has been listed in Italy for €699. If that is the case, we would expect the Inzone M3 to land in the UK for closer to £599 eventually.
