There's no "General Discussion" under PC "master race" (lol) sub-forum so i posted here....

I've been trading ever since the in-game steam trading was introduced back in 2011.

All these time I've watched it grow and evolve into what it is now. Some may like the changes and others don't. But if we step back and analyze on what's going on around us and how the community if not the majority behaves, it actually came from us all along.

"Rules are made when privileges are abused" and that quote implies to the changes of the community market.

I'm curious on how many knowledgeable users/people out there that knows better and how to get along with the changes of the system.

How did you use this system and how are you now compared to how you've done before certain implementations in the market?

How is the trading system on steam been doing for you?

i manage to save from buying games but in terms of profit none, any tips for trading?
The funniest and common advice even in reality money trading is... Buy low and sell high lol.

Personally, its best to keep on eye on the community market and be on a lookout on the main commodities whereas keys from TF2, CS:GO & DOTA2. they are the main in-game money in the trade business. If it goes low then its time to buy them (best time during steams' seasonal sales) then sell them after it gose up again for a quick money. The more you buy them the higher chance to get profit out of it.

There's also a technique that i have yet to do which is... buying DOTA2 sets or in-game items.

where you buy them in DOTA2's market particularly tournament tickets, their price after sale sometimes are higher than its standard price so hindi ko pa na experiment yan. I may need more money for that and focus.

Some comes with tournament events. they may cost little for now but surprisingly throghout the time you'll notice its market price goes up and that's what i usually do.

Well you can do both or either. for example:

in my group on steam community "Trader's Guild" we can't allow traders for PayPal to be posted on the group's forum & comment section however we can allow them in the groups' chat room for security puporses kase.

This is where you profit begins. If you buy more keys (preferably when their prices are low) then selling them via PayPal you can get some profit out of it.
We have a member who traded so much enough for her to buy a new gaming laptop.

The trick is dedication and preparation.

in-game keys are not region locked (thank God na hindi pa) so let's hope it stays that way.

oh sipag naman nung member nakabili ng gaming laptop through trading
Yeah but that was during the early first year of the trading system kaya she made use of it because it has more options to gain profit. Nowadays the options a bit limited but still manageable as long as anyone can find a way.
