Last October 15, Bren Esports announced that they have released their League of Legends: Wild Rift team. However, any explanation regarding the releasement of the team has yet to be specified by the organization.

However, some fans speculate that this is due to Moonton’s exclusivity deal wherein the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) organizations is hindered from creating their Wild Rift professional team.

If taken into consideration, the fans' speculation might be true since the same circumstance has also happened to the former Wild Rift roster of Omega Esports. The disbandment of Omega Esports Wild Rift roster has also recently been announced.

As Sunsparks enters the Wild Rift esports scene, they have swooped in at the right moment on acquiring the former squad of Bren Esports’ Wild Rift roster. The announcement was made through the official Facebook page of Sunsparks on October 22.

Sunsparks has revealed that five out of the six players of the released Bren Esports Wild Rift squad have been acquired by the organization.

The team is composed of these members:
  • Kurt “Rebengga” Cristobal - Jungle Lane
  • Ace - Jungle Lane
  • Haze Mid Lane
  • Mjan - Dragon Lane/ ADC
  • Konsi - Support
The former Bren Esports Wild Rift squad has missed their chance to dominate the Wild Rift esports scene. In the Southeast Asia Icon Series: Preseason-Philippines, the team finished 5-8th place. In Wild Rift Philippines Pro Gaming League (PPGL) 2021 Fall: Group A, the team did pretty well and ended up as the 1st runner-up of the event. However, in the PPGL 2021 Fall: Playoffs the team ended with a 7-8th place finish.

Currently, the new team are focusing on honing their skills for the upcoming events in the Wild Rift esports scene. Let’s all wish them good luck for their future endeavours.
