Just like with Mario Kart 8, even though we knew that Super Smash Brotherswas coming to E3 2014, we had no idea what we were in for. It was playable on the show floor, and the announcement of Kid Icarus' Paletuna and the Mii Fighters are playable characters made us crazy. We needs us some Smash, and we'll get it this holiday.
Beautiful new visuals. A tweaked battle system (example: Bowser's upright stance and faster movement). Cool new stages like the Punchout's boxing arena (with a playable Little Mac to boot) and Skyloft from Skyward Sword. Best of all, tons of debut characters: the psychotic stoneface Villager from Animal Crossing, the weaponized-yoga stylings of Wii Fit Trainer, and the Blue Bomber himself, Mega Man. Our jaws still hit the floor every time we watch the trailer.
