Originally slated for the Month of May this year, BANDAI NAMCO announced that the newest Swort Art Online video game to hit PS4, Xbox One and PC called SAO Alicization: Lycoris will be launching in the market starting July 10, 2020.
Lycoris follows the Alicization Arc from the isekai light novel Sword Art Online that spans manga series and anime due to its immense popularity. Players will once more follow the story of the Black Swordsman Kirito as he wakes up in a new yet familiar virtual world called Underworld where AIs act and think like normal humans.
The game's visual is astounding as you travel towns and dungeons while hacking and slashing various enemies with your trusty blade. Of course, the game will also relive your fondest memory from the Alicization Arc as Eugenio, Alice and other characters will also be there as part of the game's main storyline.
Lycoris also incorporates interesting combat elements and features to keep the swordfight more intense. These include the Tactical Emulating AI system where your in-game partner can memorize your commands and let them utilize it depending on the combat situation.
The Arts Code, on the other hand, lets you modify your AI partner's fighting parameters to suit your style. Lycoris also supports multi-player mode where up to 8 players can form a party for online raiding and battle.
Though it will stay true to the original story of Alicization Arc, players can also unlock a new storyline in the game which also allows you to explore game exclusive locations like Raubal Greenbelt, Minelda Rocks, and Deusoldort Desert. In addition to this, you can even customize your all-original avatar to make it unique.
