Sword Art Online Black Swordsman: Ace Will Be An Open World With 100 Original Floors of Aincrad iOS Android

Honestly, I don't know where to begin. I've been researching for a couple of hours already and I'm already imagining the possibility of this game rivaling all the open-world MMOs out there. But, before we dig deeper into my thoughts, let me introduce the game. First revealed in Chinajoy 2019, Bandai Namco gives a game that might finally satisfy your SAO cravings - Sword Art Online Black Swordsman: Ace.

Please bear with the photos that you'll see. The game's currently in the Closed Beta phase exclusively in China, and that explains the language used in the photos of the game. It's officially licensed by A1-Pictures and will be published by Bandai Namco, which is the publisher of the known SAO mobile game, Sword Art Online: Integral Factor.

According to the game description, it is based directly on the original plot, characters, and settings of the Sword Art Online anime. Just like how the story goes, you're trapped in the game and you'll fight for your life as you clear each floor of the flying fortress, Aincrad.

In order to survive, you'll need to improve your stats and get better equipment. And to do that, you'll need to complete missions, explore the open world, and clear floors. Typical rules of an MMORPG. For those who are not familiar with the game, there's a total of 100 floors to clear.

Just simply looking at that photo made me reminisce the very first day I watched SAO. Some of you may find it familiar since it's the first floor boss in the anime, Kobold Lord. Isn't it cool? Well, we don't have a fully functioning NerveGear yet in the market. But, at least, we're finally getting a, somehow, immersive SAO play.

You don't have to pretend as Kirito since the game offers character customization including your gender, hairstyle, and skin color. And finally, this one mysterious feature that came directly from the anime might soon separate this game from the rest of the MMORPGs out there. Well, it's not exactly too mysterious, but its implementation and system details were not fully disclosed.

Along with the combat styles that you can choose from such as fencer or tamer, this unique feature may be the in-game profession or career. We all know that blacksmiths and cooks exist in the world of SAO. And it seems that it will be included in this game too.

To my surprise, I was able to find the main website of the game in bilibili. As always, I'll provide the links that you'll need down below. Just do remember that, as of right now, the game is exclusive in China only. But, if you're too determined to play it using VPN and your translation skills, then there's no one stopping you.

With the success of the SAO franchise for many years since it started, there's no doubt that the game will get its global version soon after the tests. Comparison is not necessary at all. But if Genshin Impact along with several upcoming MMOs still exists by the time this game is officially released, it will be like the new Golden Age of the MMO genre.

I provided a clip of the first boss battle against Kobold Lord directly from @SAOBS.EN, the game's Facebook Page. Currently, the game already has 1.2 Million players registered and that's a huge sign of success. You surely don't want to miss this game. And, oh, before we end, I'll give my thanks and the credits to Bandai Namco and A1-Pictures for the contents, images, and videos I've used. And as I have promised, here are the links:
