Teams Announced For The Pacific Championship Series 2021 Spring Split

The second season returns with 10 teams in a cross-regional esports league spanning across Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, Taiwan & Macau

With The Pacific Championship Series 2021 season presented by CTBC Bank scheduled to kick off on February 19th, Riot Games Southeast Asia, Carry Live Co., and Garena are announcing the 9 teams that will be competing in this crossregional league. This year, the PCS will feature seven teams from its inaugural season, as well as two newly qualified teams, all of whom will be competing at the highest levels of play to bring League of Legends esports to new heights in the region. The tenth team and final team of the PCS 2021 season will be announced soon.

The PCS teams for 2021 Spring Split are as follow:
  • Alpha Esports (Taipei) - With 3Z, Apex and An, these skilled and well-known pro players, Alpha Esports hope they can take their biggest advantage – experience, to freshen the region in the upcoming 2021 PCS Spring season.
  • Berjaya Dragons (Malaysia) - One of the youngest teams in the region and in the league, Berjaya Dragons has been in the PCS since its last season, and is backed by Malaysian conglomerate, Berjaya Corporation Berhad.
  • Beyond Gaming (Taipei) - Established by former League of Legends professional player Dinter, Beyond Gaming is ready for the PCS 2021 Spring Season with six strong and outstanding talents. The team upholds "Beyond" as its core value and looks forward to surpassing all obstacles ahead of them.
  • Hong Kong Attitude (Hong Kong) - Founded in 2013, Hong Kong Attitude is considered amongst the top esports organizations in the region and has competed at multiple World Championships as representatives of the region.
  • Impunity (Singapore) - Newly qualified from PCS Promotion Qualifier last year. Impunity Esports is a Singapore esports organization established in 2019, on the legacy of the homegrown esports clan “Team Impunity” since 2009.
  • J Team (Taipei) - J Team was formerly known as the Taipei Assassin (TPA) who won the S2 World Championship. Since their debut during the 2016 LMS Summer Split, they are consistently ranked as one of the top teams in the region. The team came in third place in last year’s summer split results.
  • Liyab Esports (Manila) - In just a short span of time, Liyab has become synonymous with Filipino esports. While the heart and spirit of the team remain distinctly Filipino and they are hungry for recognition on the regional stage.
  • Machi Esports (Taipei) - Established in 2014 by music and entertainment maven Jeffrey Huang, Machi Esports are the reigning champions of the 2020 Summer Split and represented the region’s talent during the group stages of Worlds last year.
  • PSG Talon (Hong Kong) - PSG Talon is a professional League of Legends team formed in partnership with PSG Esports and Talon Esports. The team was established in late 2019 and currently competes in the PCS. PSG Talon's achievements include PCS Spring Split 2020 Champions and MSS 2020 Champions as well as placing within Top 12 in Worlds 2020.

The new season kicks off on February 19th, with a best-of-one double round robin regular season, followed by a double-elimination playoffs. Matches will be broadcast in English, Mandarin, and Thai.
