The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang esports tournament for the 32nd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) has finally started two days ago, May 10, in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The event will continue until May 14, 2023. The first MLBB Female category for the medal event was already finished, which was on May 10 to 11 while the Male category starts today until May 14, 2023.
Currently, the event is taking place in the Naba Theatre at NagaWorld 2, Phnom Penh. All the teams from all participating countries are split into two. The countries that took part in the female category are Indonesia, Cambodia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Laos, and Vietnam.
The matches that were scheduled on May 10 were played in a single-elimination, best-of-one (Bo1) format. The teams competed for the championship title and podium positions.
After that, the best-of-five (Bo5) match series for the female category was scheduled on May 11 with the Indonesian female team taking the championship title followed by Philippines taking the second place and Malaysia placing third. Vietnam placed fourth while Cambodia and Laos placed fifth and sixth respectively.
Contrary to the female category, the male category will be participated in by all countries. But just like the female category’s format, the male category will also play in a single-elimination, best-of-one (Bo1) format.

On May 14, 2023, the grand final will take place where competing teams will be playing in a best-of-five (Bo5) format with the top two teams from each group advancing to the following round that features a best-of-three (3) series.
