Dragonspine is the snowy mountain region you can see that overlaps Mondstadt and Liyue. East of Sal Terrae, West of Dadaupa Gorge, and Northeast of Mingyun Village, Dragonspine is the newest mini-region that will feature a lot of mechanics and monsters that will find you leaving to be chilled by its presence. Don't act so cool about it, it might challenge you.
The Cold will Bother You, Anyways
I know I might have reused this joke back in my 1.2 Update Article but it really will bother you. The Subzero Climate is a new feature that will piss you off if you don't like to be damaged constantly by the coldness of the temperature. If you remember Childe/Tartaglia telling you that if you stay at one place in Snezhnaya and you will freeze to death? This is exactly what might happen there, so expect a little surprise in the future if the snowy lands of the Tsaritsa will have this effect as well.

But do not worry all hope is not lost as you can warm yourself by finding campfires, ruin braziers, teleport waypoints, Statue of the Sevens and even a Warming Seelie can help you, while there are a lot of things that can help you stop being Frozen, there is also a new consumable that might help you.
Earlier I stumbled with a random co-op friend and when I asked that person to get what he likes on my world as repayment for my runs, they mentioned that they want to get Flaming Flower Stamen for the future, I asked why and it will help on the Warming Bottle that will help you fight the cold in Dragonspine, so there you have it. Get those flaming flower stamens and craft it up once it's available.

There's a new figure in the region that will help you get rewards and stave off the cold as well. The Frostbearing Tree is a tree that has been in Dragonspine for a long time now, acquiring Crimson Agates that can be found all over the region can get you rewards such as Acquaint and Intertwined Fates, Mora, Ores, and more. Check the list below!
Since Crimson Agate is scarce, once you have reached Level 8 in the Frostbearing Tree, you will be able to acquire more agates that will help you level up the tree by doing Crimson Wish Quests. These Crimson Wish quests will run on Mondays and Fridays to help you gain more points in the Tree. It will disappear once you have reached Level 12 though, so it is only there to help you acquire more points for the Frostbearing Tree. Overall, I think the Frostbearing Tree reminds me of the Statue of the Seven Oculi collection but these has quests to help you further, now that is nice!
New Domain
Rejoice Cryo and Hydro character users in the game, no longer will we be stuck in using non-elemental based artifacts or experimental ones, we will have a new artifact set for these two elements, the Blizzard Strayer and the Heart of Depth! To gain access to this domain, make sure to complete the quest "In the Mountains" at the Peak of Vindagnyr.
Festering Desire
Now, one of the great things coming in 1.2 is the newest weapon in the game that you can acquire once you have finished the Dragonspine storyline, the Festering Desire since we will be stuck in the Dragonspine region for a while since we have a mountain to explore, this weapon will turn the tides against the enemies since the sword will bring more damage and crit rate against Dragonspine enemies in the region, now isn't that rad. Also, the character using this will be affected by Sheer Cold less. The sword grows stronger as the story progresses so make sure to play as much as you can. Remember, the Frostmo--, oops wrong game, the Festering Desire is waiting!
