Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Frontline Has Been Announced For Several Consoles, PC And Google Stadia

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Frontline is the name title of the upcoming Ghost Recon game from Ubisoft. It is a free-to-play first-person shooter that focuses on player-versus-player action and can support up to 100 players. Starting this week, players will be able to try out the game in a few different locations.

Ghost Recon Frontline was announced with a trailer during the franchise's twentieth anniversary live stream, and Ubisoft Bucharest, the company that developed the Tom Clancy's HAWX games and collaborated on other Tom Clancy titles, is in charge of the project's development. The Ghost Recon franchise's tactical military action will be combined with the massive engagements of the battle royale genre, according to the studio.

There will be a variety of game modes available, but Ubisoft is highlighting one in particular - Expedition. This game mode will have over 100 players fighting in three-person teams. Players will need to work together to fulfill dynamic objectives on a vast open-world terrain set on an island called Drakemoor. In Expedition, players must obtain and safeguard information rather than just eliminating one another. They can even question downed enemies to figure out where their enemy teammates are. After accomplishing their task, they'll have to flee for their life, calling in an extraction squad to help them.

A range of tactical tools will be available to players, and Ubisoft Bucharest has stated that there are multiple pathways to success. Players will be able to "reshape" the battlefield by dropping airdrops of vehicles, auto turrets, and dynamic cover — such as on-demand sniper towers — into the battlefield to aid in their efforts. Frontline is "based on key Ghost Recon values," according to the game's makers, and it allows players to devise their own solutions to problems. Ghost Recon Frontline will also include a selection of different player classifications, known as contractors, for players to choose from. Ubisoft teased three contractor kinds that would be available at launch: assault, which provides excellent endurance in close-range combat; support, which provides safety through fortification abilities; and scout, which can recon regions to disclose and harass foes.

Several new "quicker" modes and contractors will be added to Ghost Recon Frontline in the course of a planned, recurring seasonal update model for the free-to-play game, according to Ubisoft.

The release date for Ghost Recon Frontline has not been confirmed at this time. The first Closed Test, on the other hand, will begin on October 14, 2021, and will run until October 21, 2021, and will be restricted to Europe only. Although no North American testing or betas have been verified as of yet, it is possible that they will occur sometime during the next year as part of the company's anniversary celebrations.

The game is bound for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X, and on streaming platforms Amazon Luna and Google Stadia. But the Closed Test is only planned for PC. Furthermore, because Ghost Recon Frontline will be available on so many different platforms, cross-platform play appears to be a necessary. It hasn't been confirmed yet, but it appears to be a possibility because it is a feature in other Ubisoft games that allow for cross-platform play.
