You can see old classics being remade and others having additional installments that are working in today's generations of gaming, with all the updated graphics, gameplay and but the mesmerizing music still applies today. Well, today's topic is an interesting one as it dates back to 1987 until today. The Ys series.

The Ys series starts from 1987 and their latest entry was in 2019. It was created by Nihon Falcom and it has been on various platforms, from Nintendo to Xbox to Playstation, and even on the PC, chances are there are different Ys games for different consoles. It is very interesting to look at but it is no surprise as it is an old franchise with a great reputation both in Japan and the West.

The game series focuses on the main character, Adol being in the right place at the wrong time, and having an adventure that usually involves saving the day. The one that we will focus on today is Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana. It is one of the better-praised games in the series due to the better take on the story and the pace of the battle is well-done. Lacrimosa of Dana is an action RPG that will be very interesting to be ported on mobile as it will truly elevate mobile gaming as the graphics seem to be ported quite well in the device.

I would definitely check it out too but the game is not out yet currently. It was teased back in the Tokyo Games Show in 2019 with a playable demo but it would be in development until now, possibly for new contents and updates regarding the game.
