Warzone Mobile Performance Comparison Between ASUS' ROG Phone 8 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and Galaxy S24 Ultra

The Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile title just recently launched on iOS and Android devices, which sparks a comparison between the two to evaluate which is better in terms of performance when playing the game.

In this very particular comparison, ASUS’ ROG Phone 8 Pro beats Apple’s iPhone 15 Pro Max only on the ‘high’ graphics option with an 81.3 average FPS, while the iPhone 15 Pro Max only has an average 75.6 FPS. It is according to the benchmarking of a YouTuber called Dame Tech.

The scores only mean that the iPhone 15 Pro Max and ROG Phone 8 Pro’s performance in Warzone Mobile is quite similar, but the latter is 7.5% faster than the former.

While the iPhone 15 Pro Max has a lower average FPS, its peak temperature during the benchmark was 41 degrees Celsius, the same peak as the ROG Phone 8 Pro.

Additionally, the iPhone 15 Pro Max can run the game at ‘peak’ visual settings, which is 1.7x higher in resolution than ‘high’. It is a win for the iPhone 15 Pro Max, as there are no other Android smartphones that can play the game at ‘peak’ graphic settings.

Dame Tech also benchmarked Samsung’s flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S24 Ultra, which packs a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. Unexpectedly, the Galaxy S24 Ultra showcased a not-so-impressive performance compared to the iPhone 15 Pro Max after having only a 56.7 average FPS in the same visual settings and an average 43 degrees Celsius peak temperature.

The ROG Phone 8 Pro also packs a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, and it seems that the device’s superior cooling setup allows the CPU and Adreno GPU to perform better, which is lacking in the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
