Have you heard of the game Needle in a Haystack? The developer Nas Nakarus shared a video of his game where players search for one needle in 5 million pieces of hay which gained over 50 million views online. Following the video's popularity, nearly ten lookalike games quickly appeared on Steam under similar names like A Needle in a Haystack and CO-OP Needle Hunt. Nakarus responded to a screenshot of the copycat games on social media by jokingly writing, "as the dev of the one that went viral, i would like to formally apologise to the steam storefront." The trend started even faster on Roblox, where creators released 14 clone games within 48 hours of the original game's reveal. Gamers and users online criticized the fast wave of clone games, calling the situation "the Robloxification of Steam." So what are your thoughts on Needle in a Haystack?

Discord ban in the Philippines? Do you want Discord to be banned? Or are you as confused as politicians? Because recently the Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC) ordered platforms, including Discord, to establish an official presence in the Philippines within 24 hours to address online safety concerns. Major internet service providers (ISPs) in the Philippines, including Globe and DITO, began blocking access to Discord in compliance with the agency's order. The sudden block caused widespread friction among students, remote workers, gamers, and online communities who rely on Discord for daily communication. However CICC Executive Director Renato Paraiso and DICT officials announced during a press briefing/livestream that the ban order against Discord had been officially lifted. The CICC issued a public apology to all users who were affected or disrupted by the temporary access ban while enforcement was active. Here is what they said “Yun mga bagong sinasabi ng ibang mga naapektuhan ng Discord, ginagamit pala nila sa business, ginagamit pala nila sa pag-aaral, hindi pa naka-klaro sa amin yan ng Discord,” Macalma said. “We do apologize sa mga affected. Inalala namin din yun mga nawala sa kanila, but our priority right now is the safety of each individual.” So what are your thoughts on the recent Discord ban?
