Just a note body pillows (dakimakura) are a massive market in Japan, often customized with full-sized anime character covers. Developed by Japanese brand Bibi Lab, the "Heating Dakimakura" features built-in heating elements. It offers multiple temperature settings that can be adjusted using an attached controller. The rumor started as a lighthearted joke in the Soulsborne community because several prominent female characters across his games such as the Maiden in Black, Sister Friede, Priscilla, and Malenia—are depicted barefoot. During an interview with The Guardian, Miyazaki brought up the rumor on his own when answering a question about recurring imagery of hands in his games. He stated that he is genuinely unsure where the rumor comes from and that he does not design characters with that in mind. Miyazaki explained that his visual design choices are meant to represent hard-to-describe aspects of human nature, existence, and themes of ruin and rebirth.

Will having a Philippines Roblox rep protect children online? Philippine Senator Risa Hontiveros met with representatives from the gaming platform Roblox to discuss child safety and request an official local representative in the Philippines. Hontiveros urged Roblox to assign a legal representative in the Philippines who can handle child abuse, grooming, and safety reports quickly with local authorities. The request aligns with the proposed Sagip Bata Act (Anti-Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children bill), which requires online platforms to have a local point of contact for legal requests like subpoenas and account information. Roblox showed interest in using a third party as a local representative and discussed plans to open an office in the country and add the Philippine National ID system to its user verification process. The government is also working with other major online companies like Meta to set up points of contact and improve child safety efforts.
